Columbian Civil War

The American Civil War (March 18, 1861 – December 21, 1867) was a civil war in the Columbian Empire. It was fought between the Empire and the Southron Kingdoms , the latter formed by provinces that had seceded. The main cause of the war was the slavery issue and concerns about imperial power.

Political controversy over slavery boiled over when the Liberal Party, which opposed expanding slavery, came to power in 1861. Originally, seven provinces responded by seceding from Columbia and declaring the United Southron Kingdoms of America. The Kingdoms took over imperial assets within their borders. Led by the 3rd Earl Calhoun, the Kingdoms grew to control most of the Columbian South and large parts of the Carribean. Nearly seven years of warfare ensued, largely in the South.

The war's
Western Theater was less static than in the east and the Empire made quick gains throughout 1861-1863. However, the Eastern Theater was inconclusive with the Army of North Carolina under James Longstreet and the Army of the James under the Earl of Arlington fighting up and down the Shenandoah Valley. Former slaves escaped from plantations and joined the war effort. They were recruited into the Imperial Colored Troops regiments.

I will finish this later

How did the Columbian Empire come to be?
In 1778, the Sixteen Colonies of British North America revolted against the Commonwealth. They rallied around the royal pretender, Charles Edward Stuart, and, in 1783 declared the Columbian Empire with Charles as their first monarch. Over time the Empire took over much of North America through military force and diplomacy.

Any particular reason why the founders of Columbia chose to make their nation a monarchy instead of a republic?

James, Duke of Bexar

James, Duke of Bexar, KGCE, FRS (James William Kenneth MacBeth; born 5 October 1927) is the youngest child of James, Prince of Chesapeake and Princess Dowager Aquila and the only sibling of Charles IV. He is currently fifty-third in line of succession to the Columbian throne.

Born at Stuart Palace, James studied at Washington and Lee School and later at Harvard University. He earned a Master's Degree in biology and spent two years in the Amazon with the 3rd Earl Sagamore. His father died in 1942 when James was fifteen. To give James financial support, his grandfather granted him the Duchy of Bexar. James moved to Bexar the next year and soon after bought the massive Devil's Creek Ranch in western Texas.

James married Princess Isabella of Mexico, the second daughter of Agustin III, in 1963. They had two children before their divorce in 1968. Despite being divorced, James retained an amiable relationship with his wife and her husband, the late Lord Graceland. In 1970, James co-founded the media giant Columbian News Network with Ted Turner, 1st Baronet and later created the Carter Center with James, Earl Carter.

James is the largest private landowner in Columbia with over three million acres of land across Western Texas and Eastern Arizona. Around half of his lands are used for environmental restoration and over 5o,ooo bison live in Devil's Creek.

Who was the youngest reigning monarch of United Europa's constituent kingdoms before Margarita II of Rome took the title?

Was Michel Ney ever made the monarch of a Napoleonic Cadet Kingdom?

When did the last United European constituent monarch that was born during the 19th century die?

Were Joseph Bonaparte’s descendants compensated for giving up the Spanish throne to Isabella II?

Probably Marie Louise of Corsica who came to the throne in 1853 at age eighteen.

He was offered the Duchy of Normandy but rejected the honor. Normandy went to the son of Napoleon IV instead.

Charles-Napoleon II died in 1963 at the age of seventy-one.

Yes. Joseph was given the title Duke of Cantabria which is held to this day by his descendants.
