King Arthfael is getting married. Preparations for the festivities are underway.
However, the Orange Knight feels he is owed a debt from the King, and has come to challenge Arthfael to a joust.
Will he disrupt the ceremony and the celebrations? Arthfael’s knights are determined not to let this happen.

The second book is the long-awaited Nitpicker's Guide to Ancient Military, by some guy.

It looks into how pre-gunpowder armies operated, and rails at some fictions that get it wrong.

Have you ever watched a film showing ancient armies, and felt that something wasn’t quite right? Or are you the sort of person who feels smug when you can point out where these films get it wrong? This book explains the difference between what happened historically, and why it was done that way, and compares this with books, films, and TV shows to see where the latter get it right and where they get it wrong.
It explains all you need to know to understand such films, including the various fantasy shows such as Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones.

Warning: Dragons not included.

Ooooo, I like the second book. But then I've lost many an hour at Bret Devereaux's
ACOUP blog.
