This is why studios shouldn't listen to fans.

A collaberation between Tsugumi Ohba and Matt Groening, the wildly popular anime series Death Tome follows one Lisa Yagami after she receives the titular journal which grants her the power over life and death. The daughter of a heavy drinking nuclear engineer and demure mother, the young American/Japanese girl with a cynical streak almost as large as her intelligence soon begins to fall prey to the powers of the tome and the belief she can change the world.
These snapshots were on last night's new Treehouse of Horror episode of The Simpsons.

Well, while I'm here, I might as well add this.

A group of hippos encountering a mokele mbembe in the jungles of Africa.

Good evening, and warm greetings from Petrograd.
It seems the Russians are at it again, claiming Alaska after they lost it to the North American Union in the Crimean War back in the old 1800s. The Imperial Government is going around selling daydreams of "Liberating Alaska" from "Satanic North Americans and their British masters" coz "God gave it to us."

Whether the Russian Empire will be bold enough to declare a Special Military Operation against the world's head honcho like they did with Mongolia remains to be seen.

Does this show still have the toilet lion?

Is the Shinigami’s name still Steve Johnson?

President-Elect Anthony Blair giving his victory speech in Chicago, Illinois after he won the 1996 Presidential Election under the "New Socialism, New America" Slogan in the Socialist Party.

President Blair would ease and restore the government of the LDS (or Mormons) in 1999, Demilitarize Canada and Newfoundland in the "Good Saturday Agreement" in 1998, which saw Newfoundland and Canada Devolution.

It'll be funny for Blair's family to move to America in 1951, 7 years after the Second Great War.

I ran "Statue of Washington in the Kremlin, photo" through stable diffusion. I guess Washington is seen as more revolutionary or else the Russian Revolution takes a very different path ITTL.

Does this show still have the toilet lion?
Probably not but would probably exist as a fandom in-joke or a off-hand reference by the creators about how they were struggling to come up with interesting deaths towards the end of its run.
Is the Shinigami’s name still Steve Johnson?
Yes but it would probably be something that isn't revealed till quite a bit later in the series and tied more in with the idea that each Shinigami is born from the last wielder of the Death Tome

Bumper for the extremely popular Nickelodeon horror comedy animated series, “The Owl House” created by Dana Terrance and Alex Hirsch in 2019 after the two left Disney due to the Mouse’s refusal to green light the series. The series is a massive hit with three seasons and recent news of a fourth season coming out sometime in 2023. The fandom of former Nickelodeon cartoon “The Loud House” generally hate the show because around the time of The Owl House’s premier, The Loud House was cancelled with TLH fans blaming TOH for their show’s cancellation.

Buckingham MP John Becrow in 2010, during his first interview after winning a leadership election that made him the new leader of the Labour party. Becrow, a former member of the Conservative party who left it over disagreements with David Cameron's policies, would go on to become Prime Minister in 2014.
