They are based off of a minor warlord state that existed following the collapse of the Yuan dynasty. However the only thing they really share in common is the dynasty name
What if China was divided into two countries during the Cold War? (Rework recently)
Some interesting facts about this timeline:
- The North China was more Sovietized/Russified, for example, Hanyu Pinyin of North China used the Cyrillic alphabet instead of the Latin alphabet
- All the political leaders mentioned in the setting are real, and most of them are real top CPC leaders, while Cao Fengze is an extreme right-winger on the Chinese Internet, advocating Chinese imperialist and expasionist ideas
- In the early settings, I intended for North China's leaders to successfully suppress the democratization movement, after which North China would become a larger North Korea without famine

A reference sheet for my "Washington-Lee" dynasty in a monarchical USA. Full names and the particulars of children in each generation are probably not finalized. Much of the artwork by others, but I tried my own hand with the personal standards, which was a fun bit of work.
