American posters and leftists in the Korean language often contained inappropriate characters, misspellings, and incomprehensible American colloquialism. (Not help the fact most Korean transistors had often worked with the Japanese before hand,, or at least suspected Japanese collaborators. ) We got sick of Korea real fast (And they took it out on the Koreans themselves...Like literally pushing Koreans out of the way and mock them,), and this close to leaving and letting Korea (North and South.) be a UN trust territory just to leave.
Speaking of UN trust territory... I am surprised no one have talked about the giant 'League of Nations Pacific Trust Territory' yet. I will explain the lore behind the place in a future entry.

-Serbia is also on the list of fucked over countries, makes sense due to bulgarian desire for there Territory and Austrians hating their expansionist, revanchist guts.
The reason why two of the Belgrade Pact members (Serbia and Romania) got utterly wrecked, with them losing more land compared to even before the start date of 1936... With the exception of Greece, who got all the lands that they lost to both the Ottomans and the Bulgarians back, will be explained in detail later. But yes, needless to say, Austria-Hungary/Danubian Federation, similar to what Germany did to Russia, made it a point to punish both Serbia and Romania for their actions during WK2, in an attempt to prevent the Balkans from ever becoming a powder keg again... Or at least spray so much water into the powder keg that it will not be able to explode even when the fuse is lit.

-Brits have decided to go more into decolonization, but the French are going full on “NOT ONE STEP BACK!”. Which makes sense given recent history.
Well, to be fair, compared to the French, its not like that the Brits have much of a colonial empire to decolonize anymore after they retook the homeland. The Westminster Declaration of 1948, which formally declare the dominions to be nations in their own right instead of mere colonies, was more of a symbolic gesture recongizing the realities on the ground, instead of the restored British government actually decolonizing.... Compared to the French, who not only actually does have a colonial empire, but one in which they have an emotional attachment to since Africa was were the Nationalist government took shelter in from the Communards. Not to mention the Pied-Noir holding a lot more political influence with their contributions in keeping the Republic alive and in retaking the homeland... Hence, keeping their colonies/'Oversea provinces' part of France will absolutely be a red line issue for the Fourth Republic.

- It seems 19th century mores rule more generally. Germany has Empire, the Entente has Empire, and thus the rules of empire rule. Very diffrent geo political rules from today, more…Putin esque. Unfortunately.
The difference is, of course that while the Reichpakt clearly have the German Empire being the boss, and the hegemony that is in charge, the Entente/League of Nations does not have such a clear hegemon.... Which will lead to some interesting interaction between the various powers inside that bloc.

But overall, yes. Unlike the OTL Cold War, you don't really have a life-or-death ideological struggle between communism and capitalism, with both sides convinced that their ideology in the way forward for humanity and towards a better world.... Instead, both the Reichpakt and the LoN are more alike then they would care to admit: Both being military alliances and economic blocs that consist of both constitutional monarchies and republics, and both sides having varying degrees of democratic institutions. Overall, making things a lot more similar with say.... OTL's post Cold War 'End of History' era during the 1990s, but with a mutil-polar instead of single polar world order.

-and I see why Japan won’t attack Indochina. They’ve been utterly fucked, losing both China and Korea. China will need time to recover so…yeah I can see it.
The situation in Asia is going to be an interesting one. I idea that I have once discussed with the DH version of the devs in the now defunct old KR forum. In which the 'Fading Sun' event gets triggered, with the IJA utterly defeated by both the Russians and the Chinese, resulting in Japan getting kicked out of the Asian mainland... But unlike in OTL's WW2, the IJN would remain largely intact, not to meniton a direct invasion of the Japanese Home Islands being out of the question, meaning that Japan's kokutai (国体, the 'National system') will remain untouched as well.

In IJA getting utterly defeated, plus the Japanese economic facing a massive depression that puts Black Monday to shame with the lost of all their investments in the Asian Mainland (Particularly all the assets belonging to the Mantetsu/South Manchuria Railway Company) would already be bad enough for a normal, sane country.... But Japan in my headcanon is NOT a 'normal, sane country'. In that on top of the sheer hatred between the two service branches just like in OTL, when the defeat happened, the country was controlled by a NatPop military government under Emperor Yasuhito, aka 'The the Japanese Richard III'.

Therefore, in the aftermath of the Treaty of Lushun/Port Arthur, the IJN would recall all their assets in the rest of the Pacific, and use this opportunity to launch a coup against the Nationalist Populist ultra-hardliner conservatives Kodoha Faction controlling government. With Emperor Yasuhito, who many in Japan viewed as a usurper in the first place with the dubious circumstance that led to his rise to power in the 'Second Meiji Restoration' being forced to commit suicide by Seppuku. With no children of his own, his 7-year-old nephew Akihito (Whom Yasuhito had usurped the throne from in the first place) becoming Emperor in his place, while IJN restore civilian rule in the country, putting a bunch of center-right moderates in power.... With tight navy oversight, of course.

Hence, by 1966, Japan is a conservative democracy under a constitutional monarchy with heavy influence from the IJN. With everything that had gone wrong since 1936 blamed on the usurper Yasuhito and his crazy IJA lackeys; While everything that had gone right such as the fact that for a moment, Japan DID managed to kick the Germans out of Southeast Asia, had the credit being given to the IJN... Until the aforementioned usurper and his IJA lackeys ruined everything. So kind of like an ATL version of the clean Wehrmacht myth.

who was the leader of france, petain or mordacq
Nationalist France in the leading up to and during WK2 was under the leadership of Mordacq as the Head of State, with his government working together with the Democratic Coalition to form the 'Sacred Union' unity government. When it comes to rights for the native North and West Africans, the nationalist abolished the separate courts for that Frenchmen and natives get tried in, but restrict voting right only to natives that have either volunteered to fight for France, or were members of the civil service. At their first post-victory election, conservative academic Louis Marin got elected as the president of the republic.

On the topic of Indochina... Keep in mind that while the Indochinese Union might be the only country officially under a syndicalist government left in this world, they are by no means the only far-left socialist government left. And even otherwise moderate left governments around might be sort of sympathize to their cause. Hence, Saigon is not totally isolated from the international system, with them still be able to engage in trade and diplomacy via intermediaries the same way that North Korea in OTL conducts financial transactions via Singapore and Macau.

In addition, while the Phalanstere Internationale might have been defunct with the fall of syndicalism in Europe, all the industrial aid, technical support, and military advisors sent to Indochina by the CoF thanks to the 'Special Relations' between the two countries will still be there. Plus, being the last holdout keeping the torch-and-hammer flying high makes them the go-to destination for far-left exiles across the world, giving them yet another source of technical expertises and manpower. Therefore, by 1966, while the Indochinese Union will not be able to start a world revolution anytime soon, they are punching above their weight, and a touch nut to crack.

Is a liberal democratic party equivalent in power as in is Japan a dominant party state
As of 1966, Japan's political situation can be compared to that of OTL's post-WW1 'Taisho democracy', with a constitutional monarchy under a parliamentary system based on the British model, plus a two-party system similar to the one over in America, with the Diet dominated by the conservative 'Rikken Seiyukai', and the right-liberal 'Minseito'. There will of course be various other nationalist, left-liberal, and socialist (Even an openly syndicalist) parties both operating in the country and even have sits in the Diet... But much like in OTL Japan, their influence will be marginal at best.

While we are on the topic of Asian politics in TTL, since @comrade cat asked me in private about how the heck the Dutch East Indies that we last saw in 1936 KR world ended up becoming the 'United Indonesia Principalities' seen on this map, I thought that I would share the lore for TTL here as well:

Long story short, for the lore of Indonesia, I combined elements from both the HOI4 version of the mod, as well as one of those very rare outcomes that one can get in DH under unusual circumstances.

(1) Dealing with the political crisis back home, the Netherlands took the SocLib solution by formed the VDB-SDAP Coalition, setting up a first Dutch centre-left government. A government that appointed Nico Palar, the first ever native Indonesian, as the Governor-General in the late 1930s. With him trying to reform the colonial system to the point of reworking everything from the ground up through compromise balancing the needs of both the native Indonesians and the Dutch settlers.
(2) The Insulindian National Revolution under Sukarno's leadership still happened, with the revolutionaries uniting everyone from the nationalists to the socialists and the Islamists under a broad tent coalition to throw out the Dutch. At the revolution's height, they managed taking both the colonial capital of Batavia, not to mention overrunning much of Sumatra... But the lack of internal unity led to in-fighting, buying just enough time for reinforcements from the Dutch regular army to arrive, crushing the uprising with their superior training, equipment, and firepower.
(3) In the failed National Revolution's aftermath, the Congress of Batavia was organized, to discuss the future of the Dutch East Indies. After significant negotiations, the Dutch agreed to turn the East Indies from colonial possessions into becoming a series of autonomous countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands itself, with equal status on-par European provinces such as North Holland, Overijssel, or Zeeland: Ruling themselves while still being part of the the Netherlands, with Indonesians, even those without Dutch parentage, being given full Dutch citizenship.... But of course, said independence will not be given for years to come.
(4) In the end, however, Congress of Batavia seemingly be became moot. As the Japanese invaded the East Indies. With the Dutch mainland falling to Communard France, and Germany forced to withdraw from Asia after the fall of Singapore, the Dutch were forced to formally give up the East Indies to the Japanese. With Tokyo putting a Japanese military administration in place, while trying to rekindle both nationalism and Pan-Asaianism within the Indonesian population.
(5) But soon, the Japanese started having other problems up north. Starting with the Indochinese Union proving themselves to be a much harder foe to fight compared to the various European colonial administrations, forcing them to redeploy troops meant to reinforce Indonesia to fight in Indochina instead. Followed by the newly formed Republic of China making a deal with the devil with NatPop Russia to drive the Japanese out of the Asian Mainland while their forces were tied down in Southeast Asia. Causing even more troops to be pulled back troops to redeployed, leaving Indonesia almost undefended.
(6) The Australasian Confederation, already viewing the Japanese control of Southeast Asia as an imminent and intolerable national security threat, took advantage of the situation: With the Royal Australasian Navy invading and seizing Indonesia, Borneo, and most importantly, the Malay Peninsula including the city of Singapore.
(7) Having secured control over all of the former Dutch East Indies. The Australasians handed over power to the local hereditary rulers in Indonesia to rule as an Entente aligned protectorate. Under a system based on that of based on OTL Malaysia: With the UIP functioning as a loose confederacy ruled by the Dewan Kerajaan (Princely Council) based in Jakarta. While offically, each individual regional monarch is independent in their own right, Indonesia will have Sultan Hamengkubowono IX serving as Prime Minister, a 'first amongst equals' and de-fecto head of state.

The question of how the situation in Borneo came to be, and why the Philippines control Sabah will be another long, fascinating story. Also based on a rare outcome in the DH version of the mod that is directly tied to the history of Indonesia as explained above.... A story that I will get to on another day. ;)

Japan's political situation can be compared to that of OTL's post-WW1 'Taisho democracy', with a constitutional monarchy under a parliamentary system based on the British model, plus a two-party system similar to the one over in America, with the Diet dominated by the conservative 'Rikken Seiyukai', and the right-liberal 'Minseito'.
so there was no national defense state that'll lead to a virtual one party State That then was dissolved I.e. what happened in the old KG japen

One little Problem with this set up: Would the Dutch really want that many Indonesians voting in Dutch elections? I really don’t think so.

Which is why the promise was set to take place in 'Infinite -1 day'. With the Dutch more or less intended to preventing another revolt from breaking out again by telling the Indonesians whatever it is that they want to hear in the here and now.

Tbf considering America is united by the federalists what is the role of the PSA in all this? Do they stick with the federalists the whole time or did they get functional independence for a short time?

The PSA never rose up in rebellion in this TL, since there was no MacArthur militray coup, meaning that the wartime POTUS does in fact have the democratic mandate, hence having the West Coast stay loyal to the Federal goverment. Giving the Federalists a united front against both the radicals of the AUS and CSA.

Also, the Second American Civil War (Which, BTW, will be getting its own map seriers later) is a lot shorter compared to most cases, with the Federalist getting the maxium number of swing states (Minnesota, New York, Tennessee, Southern Texas, and North Carolina) staying loyal. Hence the fighting never making it east of Minnesota, with much of the West Coast and the midwest being intact. Giving the US a much quicker post-war recovery that makes it more realistic for the country to be in a shape to take part in WK2 (Which, I have delayed for a year to 1940. To give countries across the world more time to prepare and for more things to happen before things explode).

I have two new questions:

Who are the 10 biggest countries in terms of territory?

Will you make a map on military alliances ( entente, pakt...)

I have two new questions:
Wellcome to my TL and thank you for posting your questions! While there isn't much around at the moment, there will be more to come.

Who are the 10 biggest countries in terms of territory?
I do not exactly have a list of country by terrtorial size. Espcally since when it comes down to it, the world have entered into an age in which terrtorial size alone is not the be-all and end-all of a coutry's influence and power. Take the rump Russian Empire and the Siberian Republic for example: They are clearly much larger compared to the Netherlands and Switzerland... Yet due to the status of the former two being effect German puppets under military occuption, the later two will be much more wealthy and influenial on the world stage.

Will you make a map on military alliances ( entente, pakt...)
Absolutly! In fact, I have already came up the basic outline of the various miltiary allinaces, and that once the current commission is done, it will be the next seriers of maps that I will have @@procrastinating2much work on.

While we are on the topic of military alliances.... They will also not be the be-all and end-all of geopoictical influence between the superpowers either. In that economic and customs unions will play just as much, if not more, of a role in power projection... Espcally since unlike with miltiary alliances, economic unions will not be as clear cut in terms of taking a side, allowing some countries to engage in a bit of multi-vector diplomacy, and become part of mutiple economic unions at the same time. Countries such as France, for example....

for country sizes, it is not so much a question of power as a curiosity as to whether the overseas colonies/territories of powers like France and the Ottoman federation can now afford to be among the largest countries (to compete with China and the USA)

Who’s the British Prime Minister?
I don't have a British Prime Minister in mind for 1966, but I do have it in my headcanon that the first post-liberation General Election would have been won by the Liberal Party, making Herbert Samuel the first post-WK2 British PM. With his Liberal government taking a mixed apporch when dealing with the former UoB's syndicalist remnants (Give Arthur Horner and the other TUC members that they captured harsh prison sentences despite the violent back lash... But allow non-socialist trade unions to legally operate; Blacklist those that have taken part in the UoB's government such as Clement Attlee from public office, but allow the now resotred Labor Party to run for elections; Ban all those that served under the UoB's military and did not defect during the liberation from enlisting under the restored UK's armed forces... But still grant the veterans, even those that served under the UoB, their military pensions... etc).

If anyone is more familar with the British politics during the 1960s have any ideas about the political development and the canadits that I can use as the PM, I will be all ears.

While we are on the topic on the head of government, the following is my canon for the US presidents since 1936:

- Herbert Hoover (Republican) 1929- 1936
- Alf Landon (Republican) 1937 - 1944
- Cordell Hull (Democrat) 1945 - 1952
- Dwight Eisenhower (Republican) 1953 - 1961

on the map I just noticed that it lacks the capital of albania and bulgaria
I am aware of that. But the issue was that there simply isn't enough space on the map.... Which is why the next map currently in the works will be one that focuses on Europe. Allowing for far greater detail to be displayed.
