Then again, I'm sure the Anglo-speaking "section" of AH would definitely adopt a Sea Lion as a mascotte of sort. Due tense Cold War and worse relationships with the West Soviet Union was left out from Olympics. Stalin decided revive old Spartakiads which were held in 1920's and 1930's. First one was held in 1952 and smae year was too Winter Spartakiad in Arkhangelsk. These were participated by communist nations and even UAR got permission to participate in 1956 Spartakiads but due Second Arabian War it was unable to send athletes. Last Spartakiads were in 1968. Malenkov abolidhed them in 1972 and there wasn't held any Spartakiads after fall of Soviet Union and communist bloc. Soviet Union was on Spartakiads very succesful winning most of gold medals. This has caused much of suspicion on the west. After fall of Soviet Union and opening of state archives it was revealed that there was massive usage of doping and it was too noticed that many non-Soviet athletes were bribed to lost intentionally.

In 1960's Soviet government had plans to re-direct some rivers, which were floweing to the sea, to cotton and rice plantations. It was anyway failure due bad economy and many technological challenges. Project was abandoned after fall of Soviet Union in 1972. World's fourth largest lake is still in good condition despite occssional droughness when Kazakh and Uzbek govenrments allow on some years take water from rivers. There is too some pollution problems. The lake is anyway still important center of Central Asian fishing industry.
Logo of Nuova Radio Vaticana, a classic and pop-ock station that's extremely popular in the Kingdom of Italy. The radio has its roots in the Italian cultural zeitgeist of the Sixties-Seventies, when the policy of forbidding musical imports lead to bans of the budding rock music scene first and where the MinCulPop censored whatever text they felt fit was "inappropriate for public consumption" later... which, being Italian rules and institutions, didn't affect the radio operated from the Vatican.
It's not entirely known, whether it was a foreign intern seminarist managing to get Beach Boys records from home and sneaking them in the programming, or a conscious choice by some anti-fascist organizer seeking to propose peaceable-- if new to many's ears--- tunes in-between the scheduled religious programming and lightearted "approved" music, but, regardless, the timeslot when those records were played often got quite the audience: even though the Italian state did pressure the Vatican to shut such programming down, John Paul I always refused to comment, or indeed interfere, with his state's national radio. As time went on, and the Third Ethiopian War intesified, aggressive songs denouncing the war were written in the underground (sometimes literally so) scene, recorded on old x-ray sheets or from boxes made to fall from the back of a truck... and, in a short time, the least vulgar of them wound up being played on the Vatican Radio, and, by 1978, at least one band, L'Unica Via, was known to have written a religiously-laden song specifically so that it might be taken in good grace within the Vatican Radio, and it wasn't unheard of to see less religiously-inclined people listen to the Vatican Radio at least in those times.
With the ascension of Pope John Paul II, there was a change coming on the horizon for the Vatican Radio as well: while realizing that the "forbidden songs" being played on the Holy See's official radio were more often than not in line with Vatican lines, unlike his predecessor, he didn't feel like they were entirely appropriate for a radio that was more meant as a service for the faithful than straight-up entertaiment. REalizing the potential of the idea, however, he authorized the creation of Nuova Radio Vaticana, an alternate radio station, also operating from the Vatican, that mostly focused on playing songs and having family-friendly variety programming, and even as the MinCulPop's powers diminished and censorship waned to non-existence, it still managed to find a niche within both nostalgics of their rebellious youth and people not as interested in vulgarity, especially since it also transmitted in French, Dutch, Portuguese and Spanish for a time (with German being considered, but ultimately scrapped).
To finance the creation of a worldwide broadcasting network that could function on the Internet as well, in 2004 it was decided to sell off Nuova Radio Vaticana: it was ultimately bought out by the Persefone media conglomerate, which, out of respect of the radio's roots, decided to transmit all of its songs in censored form and with specific timeslots dedicated to throwbacks to when the radio transmitted "rebellion music". Currently it transmits in Italian and French, but there are plans to expand it to the previous "territory" it covered at some point in the future.
This actually happened in some form! Radio Vaticana often transmitted music tat had been censored in Italy, a couple of times even transmitting pieces that Italy had deemed "offensive to religion"!

The setting for these games take place in an alternate version of Earth, during war times of the 20th century on the continent of Nostran and its continental neighbour of Osros. Lena hails from the Fascist Italy-esque Grand Principality of San Vulci, which is the leading nation in an Nostranese alliance system called the “League of Aita”, that is a co-belligerent of the “Alliance of Free Nations” led by the Seventh Belluiren Republic, the Kingdom of Ærein, and the Empire of Zoajing against the “Triumvirate” of the Skoburg Realm, the Labourers’ Union of Motrov, and the Asakoshi Shogunate.
The games are noted for its fantastic gameplay, world building, characters/character designs, story, and blending a complex magical system with 20th century weaponry, vehicles, and tactics (complete with wizards and witches in wwii military fatigues). Several anime and manga series have spawn from this video game franchise to vary degrees of success though the game franchise itself remains popular with gamers and critics.
The series is also known for its mature/realistic and often times dark depictions of war and atrocities with a fictional anthropomorphic race of cat and dog people known as the “Plathos” being an often discriminated/hated group with the Skoburgers even enacting a genocide against them.

With the exception of three days out of every year since reunification between the two Chinas in the late 70s, a large portrait of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek (nicknamed “Chiang the Unifer”) is placed above the center of the entrance. The three dates where this is an exception is the birthday of Sun Yat-sen and the day of his death where Chiang’s portrait is replaced with one of Sun himself to honour the “Father of the Kuomintang and the Republic”.
The third day is the “National Day of the Republic of China” or “Xinhai Revolution Anniversary Day” held every year on October 10 to commemorate the Xinhai Revolution that deposed the Qing Dynasty and led to subsequent establishing of the Republic of China. On that day, Chiang’s portrait is moved slightly to the right and the portrait of Sun Yat-sen is placed beside Chiang’s left so that both are sharing the center.

British actor and thespian Alec Guinness playing the role of Leonasi Byzantinius VI – the galactic imperator from Sergio Martino’s Galactic Conflicts Volume II: In the Imperium’s Shadow.
Guinness would be quoted in an interview of 1990 saying that the role of Imperator Leonasi VI has got to be one of my favourite roles and the character was like Charles I mixed with Julius Caesar. While Guinness’ character was only mentioned in the first film “Galactic Conflicts Volume One: Birth of Hope, the second volume (already mentioned by name above) and the third volume “Galactic Conflicts: Conflict Eternal” featured him prominently.

She met her future husband marquess of Hartington, William Cavendish (1917 - 2000). They married despite some opposition of their families in 1945, soon after Cavendish had returned from Germany. Contrary of Kathleen's father Joseph P. Kennedy Sr.'s fears this hadn't negative affect to his sons' poltiical career and actually it might had brought some advantages. The couple got three children; Richard (b. 1947), George (b. 1949) and Charlotte (b. 1952). Them had too close relations with British royal family and Kathleen became close friend of queen Elizabeth II and she was often seen on many family events like marriages, baptisms and funerals. Kennedy was active on many charity activies. One of her granddaughters married with oldest son of Prince of Wales, Henry whom became duke and duchess of Cambridge.

A favourite character in the Galactic Conflicts sequel trilogy, King Vey is a strong-willed charismatic monarch and well loved by the Qolxen people. The alien species of the Qolxen, like their Star Trek counterparts the Ferengi, are an analogue of the Jewish people but that is where the similarities end. While the Qolxen and Ferengi share the business and commercial aspects of Jews, the Qolxen embody the “Spirit of Trieste” and they actively participate in the Great Clone War against the Greater Dominion of Kamino and the Holy Union of Geonosia whereas the Ferengi are portrayed in solely generalised business-oriented aspects of Jews and are featured mostly as refugees fleeing the Klingon Coordinate in one episode then barely seen again.
One of the notable highlights in Galactic Conflicts Volume 5 is the Kaminoan invasion of the Qolxen homeworld and their surrounding colonised star system known as the “Qolxen Sector”, though the Qolxen fight courageously against the Kaminoans’ Kaminic Troopers the clone juggernaut is too powerful and quick as Qolxus itself gets directly invaded.
Similarly to the Jews in the Battle of Trieste, the Qolxen fight tooth and nail to defend their homeworld with King Vey himself fighting alongside his subjects with blaster pistol and ultrasaber* in hand and with aid from an joint Imperium-Rebel fleet backing the embattled GSTG’s own space navy the “Commercial Protection Fleet”, which breaks the Kaminoan planetary blockade, and lands ground forces to help the Qolxen defenders with the killing blow to the Kaminoans’ equivalent to the Waffen-SS, the Elite Reconnaissance Corps (ERC), and push the “Grand Kaminic Armada” out of the Qolxen Sector and is a turning point in the war.
And though the Qolxen Sector and people are safe from the Kaminoans’ “Halves Plan, in which the Kaminoans would exterminate half of all Qolxen and enslave the other half as “commerce serfs”, their causalities were large and their homeworld and sector devastated. Actually, the MAB-54 is an assault rifle, but the Italian Army at the time classified it as a submachine-gun.
