The New Order: Last Days of Europe Thread II

"Adaptable for both Japanese and Chinese ammunition"

Seems like it would sell better than its competitors given that it can be converted to use existing ammo quite easily. Would be profitable if China and Japan have a conflict with each other or in need for a lot of guns as they both could use the guns to supplement existing weapons.

Seems limited in its ambition though seeing as its only difference from other guns is ammo interchangeability and a three shot grenade launcher attachment.

Matsushita seems to be trying to get a lightweight gun that shoots flechettes according to the picture high capacity + rapid fire + low recoil + probably has armor piercing capabilities given the flechettes.

Probably more expensive that the other guns to produce, probably going to have issues regarding maintenance due to lightweight materials + expensive ammo due to custom flechette ammo

Fujitsu is using intermediate ammo so probably has decent recoil and acceptable range for modern warfare + focus on scopes allows for advantage during nightime engagement and would really help in the forests/counter-insurgency that Japan often fights in.

Probably really heavy compared to the other two not to mention that its main selling point (scope) will either make or break the gun.

Interesting sub-system, not sure how they would implement the costs and benefits within the TNO system of other CPS States buying the gun.
I would prefer also the gun produced by Sony. Less complicated for me

I would have to go with the Sony Assault Rifle given its compatibility with different cartridges. Plus it would make the GAW easier for China, along with a huge manpower advantage, the Chinese would not be concerned about ammo shortages since they can easily collect Japanese bullets for their Rifles.
Heck I can imagine the Americans getting ideas from Sony's Assault Rifle trying to make their own Rifle with similar ammunition capabilities.

If the Americans inspired to create Sony's Assault Rifle, then they'll produce Stoner LMG, just like in OTL.

Now that Shafarevich went from Fascist to Despotist, who's the remaining "crooked electoralist who's actually a fascist"? The closest I can think of are Matkovsky and Zykov, but Zykov isn't really a fascist and Matkovsky isn't really electecd.

Also Maty basically "abandons" Fascism to appeal for American support.

Right now in TT, there's only one Fascist Russian Unifier left, and that's Oktan and his Corporate Statism, which is not that really representative of the ideology.
If I could, i would at least add a regular Fascist Komi path and maybe a fascist path for magadan.

I think either Chita or Vyatka could have a fascist path. Chita is even supposed to be one of the Heirs of Harbin.

Considering how the OG fascist dictatorships didn't even pretend to have competitive elections, I would imagine that there aren't any crooked fascist electoralists left.

Given my experience with Russian hoi4 players so far I suspect this is precisely why he is liked and why a democracy is considered supposedly unrealistic.

Savinkov, Serov, Rodzheavsky, Yazov and the more gamer socialists are popular because is a vocal far right subculture in Russia, as well as a Nazbol subculture. Blame Yeltsin and Shock Therapy for this.

Hell, according to TvTropes the Imperium of Man's ideals and the whole "be terrible SOBs because the universe is out to kill us" justification for its atrocities are generally more sympathized with in Russia despite being space hyperfascists, whereas in the west, there is a growing subset of fans, particuarly around r/Sigmarxism subreddit, seeking to demand the Imperium be portrayed less sympathetically.

I feel like the reason why people like these unifiers is simply due to the basis of aesthetics, and not necessarily principle or genuine belief although there are sympathies too.

Salgado is far into development and depending of your point of view he ain't exactly a fascist (he doesn't consider himself one), but we interpret one as a follower of a ideology that is an branch of fascism.

So basically him and the other integralists are (depending of how do you see them) electoral fascists. The bizarre case of the people with an far right ideology that gonna sit down in the congress's, greet the other politicians with an smile and work under the rules.

Ah, there is one coming in Penelope's web, that is Giorgio Almirante. He's an perfect example of electoral fascist.

Almirante as a neofascist or postfascist (or whatever the term is nowadays) was a very weird politician even in real life Italy.

I disagree with the portrayal of said figure and the Italian Social Movement for a very simple reason : Giorgio's political career started, along with others, because the Italian Social Republic existed and because they lost the war.

So by the logic of an axis victory, Almirante would most likely still be a journalist and wouldn't have denounced his past anti-semitism.

So it doesn't make much sense. Or at all. It seems they needed an authoritarian democrat and he and a few others were put there.

Same thing goes for Achille of the Monarchist wing. The PNM wouldn't exist since there is still a monarchy in Italy.

As for the other politicians, barring a few, I wonder if they would even be in politics. Or allowed to be.

Well, we have Bunyachenko ...
Samara Bunyachenko is a fascist regime with all the hallmarks of fascism. I don't understand why his ideology now is despotism.
I mean, here are the signs:

1.anti-liberalism
2.anti-communism
3.the cult of the leader who will save the nation (Supreme President Bunyachenko)
4.corporatism (chaebols)
5.nationalism
6.militarism
7.destruction of political opponents.
8.strong secret police

Bunyachenko Samara must be fascist, and Oktan Samara must be despotism. Oktan really doesn't care about anything other than money.

Bunyachenko is just a generic dictator, while Oktan being greedy self-interested person tries to LARP as fascist (introduces anti-semitism, and tries to model his state after Germany).

An ordinary dictator is only interested in power and money. An ordinary dictator is not engaged in economic development and the remaking of society.

I really don’t know why you are once again trying to say that Bunyachenko is an ordinary apolitical dictator, IF IT IS NOT SO LOL. Have you played for him?
