The Falling Rain: A Graphics Timeline

What is the South African National Republic like?
It's a living nightmare, I'd say. Not a place any rational and kind person would live.
What are the red states of Bengal, Karnataka? and Andra Pradesh? in India?
Those would be the lands of the "East India Company's Rulership of the United Presidencies". Similarly, the ice-blue state in Canada is the "Hudson's Bay Company's Rulership of New Caledonia".

I just noticed the tag at the top of the timeline-so how is space exploration and colonization going during the 20th and 21s centuries?

South Africa
That makes me really want to hear more about the shitshow that is the South African National Republic.

Does Anyone Have Antarctica claims? Because in the Map i Don't see Any
Antarctica was declared an International Zone in the 1969 International Treaty Concerning the Use of Celestial Bodies and Uninhabited Lands. No country may have territorial claims in Antarctica, the Arctic, the Moon, Venus, or any other area in space. Many nations do have Antarctic bases, but the stated purpose is that they are for all mankind.

Venus is habitable, so that's a huge boon for space exploration. I wrote a short story a few years ago that crossed Jared's Into the White Planet with The Martian, and I've been meaning on including it into one of my timelines. Germany launches the first satellite in 1961, the US sends the first person into space in 1965 and lands the first person on the Moon in 1977, first manned orbiter of Venus happens in 1991 but the first Venus landing waits until 2016.

I am interested how the East India Company survived to this day and how it runs things.

What are the racial demographics of the South African National Republic, and what type of things do the Black (or even non-Afrikaner) population go through?

Lots of bribes, both then and now.

Haven't done much population number wrangling, but I would guess that the SANR has around 30 million people, of whom about 20% are white. The South African situation is inspired by Our Fair Country, if that helps.

What wars were happening during the 1958 and 1998 Olympics?

How did Scandinavia went from Sweden-Norway spliting to they uniting with Denmark to them spliting up?

Those wars would be the Pacific War (lasted from 1953-1959) and the Millennium Crisis/Eurasian Civil War (1997-2001, technically goes until 2004)

Sweden-Norway just barely makes it out of the Great War intact, despite Norwegian nationalists demanding an end to the union (and end they got in OTL in 1905). With a wave of far-left dictatorships rising in Europe, Arminian Germany fears being surrounded and so aids similar ideologically far-right Norwegians, breaking the personal union in 1935. A civil war breaks out in Sweden soon after, and the Arminians impose a far-right dictatorship there too to prevent the far-left from taking over there as well. Following the Second European Civil War, the monarchs of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (who have all been in exile for a while in Britain and have intermarried quite a bit) return to power and gradually unite the three nations due to strong familial relationships and in opposition to resurgent Russian expansionism.

With the red bounds being practically one party States have there been any notable corruption or political scandals?

Also how does India allow the east India company States to exist?

For all intents and purposes, the US is a dominant-party state. There are a couple major political machines that have been running smoothly since the First Civil War (eg, the Sagamore Hill Machine in New York). A couple presidents have been impeached due to scandals and things, most notably Schuyler Colfax.

India went through a rough time in the late 1940s to mid 1950s, and its current government structure is a very decentralized confederation that is more often than not feuding with itself. The EIC was divested from controlling all of India after a major revolt in the 1890s, but hung on to the three truncated precedencies due to some back room deals and bribes. It was through the EIC lands that Britain was able to force project into the subcontinent during the turmoil. India has called for the return of the presidencies, but if the presidencies are returned then Britain would pull out of India all together, making it an easy prize for nations like Iran to look to.

Which President is the oldest and which former Presidents are still living in 2041?

Also, what happened to Belgium and it's royal family?
The oldest person to become president is John J Crittenden, who assumed the presidency at the age of 76. The former presidents who are still alive are Wright, Mulligan (in jail), Castro, Ross, and Tenorio.

Belgium was partitioned in 1929 between the Netherlands and France, both of which were under far-left dictatorships. Following their victory in the First European Civil War, the Arminians opt not to restore Belgium, and by the time the area is liberated in 1967 the United Coalition is unwilling to invest in the sort of nation building required to reconstitute Belgium.
