The New Order: Last Days of Europe Thread II

If I were to rework Heydrich's path, I would have it be more like this:
- Burgundian SS path = BurgSys [1]
- German SS path = UltraNat [2]
- Warren SS path = NatSoc [3]
[1] - In the Burgundian path Heydrich still betrays Himmler since Heydrich still thinks Nuclear Apocalypse is stupid, but tries to copy what Himmler is doing in Germany. Heydrich defeats Himmler, and annexes Burgundy. And well life does not change for the French/Belgian, while life for the average German goes to hell. Heydrich however would have a harder time stopping Himmler, as this path invites the Burgundians to help Heydrich, and ultimately have the Burgundians closer to easily stopping Heydrich's plot to stop Himmler. Although this path would result in Heydrich committing suicide, realizing that the Burgundian System is a failed system, for it does not "benefit" the Aryan. Plus his path would also see mass rebellions from average Germans who refuse to be subjected to the Burgundian System.
[2] - Heydrich doing his own thing having his own ideology instead of copying Himmler's Burgundian System. He simply creates a Dictatorship under "Ultra-National Socialism" with Spartanian and Militarist Policies rather than the Burgundian System with the German SS leading instead of the NSDAP.
[3] - Heydrich is pragmatic and decides to maintain Nazi party politics but on his own terms, keeping much of the old institutions but has the SS expand its power and authority. He spares much of the old politicians, albeit they are SS puppets who can be killed or sent off to camps if they screw up or displease Heydrich. As well, for Puppet States or RKs, with the Waffen-SS path, he has local collaborators serving in the SS lead the Puppet States and RKs. The Waffen-SS path would resemble North Korea, even though Germans aren't subjected to hardship or harsh Spartanian policies, it's now a Survallience State where the SS is everywhere watching the lives of every German.

To be honest I think Heydrich’s path kind of does what it sets out to do even if the epilogue is kind of iffy.

Would anybody here be interested in a ‘Make your own Warlord’ Russia game? Self explanatory: you get a empty Russia and you fill it in with warlords, presenting a fairly different Russia (+ Kazakhstan and associated Central Asian states) by 1962.

If this gets enough attention, I’ll make the post.

Count me in on that warlord game.

...after I play Brazil in the CSS demo tomorrow of course, but I'm still interested, I'm anticipating it to be great so I'm just going to tell u/Gukpa (oh wait wrong website lol) @Gukpard that you've been doing an amazing job with your work in the demo. :)

How much would you suppose that the baggage of being past Nazi collaborators would impact Zykov/Bunyachenko's relationship with the OFN?
(keeping in mind as always that these are my own interpretations ) I tend to lean toward more realpolitik view of things. Even if America finds it despicable that the ROA are former nazi collabs (which is a fair take), the weight of a united Russian state will inevitably create tensions in eastern Europe, and I personally see no scenario where Nazi Germany (nor America) see peace as possible between Germany and "Free Russia". So America will de facto probably support Zykov and Bunyachenko. (Maybe even Oktan under the table)

An interesting wrinkle in this is that Bunyachenko looks a lot to the sphere in late game
Would Goldwater himself balk at developing ties with them because of that?
As I've never played him nor worked on OFN team, I don't know where he'll draw the line. CIA might go behind his back to equip ROA Russia if he tries to deny them help?Keeping America neutral and continuing to trade with Russia would still be in the cards for Goldwater I think.

Should Bunyachenko successfully conquer Ukraine in the 2WRW, then as a Ukrainian himself how would you suppose he would approach governing the territory? Would he grant a status of special autonomy within Russia or would he see it fully integrated like Tatarstan and Bashkiria? What is his view on the Ukrainian identity?
I do not know how he was. I'd be amazed if we had any historical writing of his on the topic (as he was a minor historical figure + a loathed traitor) He was born in Russia proper, from a Ukrainian background IIRC. I kind of envisioned the man as a "Russian" nationalist (Russia the multi-national state that includes Ukraine, not Russia proper), and his experience/world view probably have him integrate Ukraine into his unitary state Russian Republican dictatorship. It's interesting to note he joined the reds during the Russian civil war, though I must admit my ignorance on how various nationalities integrated the Red movement at the time.
Cold Southern Springs demo is released

Helping on CSS was great fun =)
