Most people do not remember an era when Russia was one nation rather than a geographical description containing various countries.

The mysterious Russian Black league is a legend among the rebuilding nations of the world. Officially the All-Russian Reclamation Government, colloquially known as the Black League or simply "Russia," is a large nation in Northern Europe and Asia. It has one of the worlds largest militaries and a sizeable population for it's damage. It's Capitol City, Omsk, is one of the largest cities on earth, mostly protected from the War by it's many Anti Ballistic Missile sites, keeping much of it's population and industrial capability alive.
Its massive underground bunker complexes, called the "National Redoubts" kept millions of people safe from nuclear war. After several years in the bunkers, the Population, kept alive by brutal rationing and harsh punishments. The meager growth and herding of animals, as well as the extremely slow decrease in population kept the survivors alive for twenty years. Over time, underground railroads between bunker-cities were drilled out, and overland communications were established with Omsk itself. This helped keep the bunkers in line, as Omsk could still affect the bunkers from the above-ground city.
In 2006, twenty-one years after Nuclear fire annihilated the world, the Bunkers opened. MI-24 helicopters and BTR-90 troop transports fanned out once "Operation Bogatyr" was commenced. Kilometer long columns of troop transports and supply trucks snaked out as Helicopters crisscrossed the land looking for survivors. Many Black League operatives were sent out over time, as a way to indoctrinate and provide relief for the millions of Russians above ground (Only about 25% of the Russian population of 80 million was able to be housed in the bunkers, with expansions over time). Some villages and remnants of cities had conglomerated, something intolerable to the Black League.
The battle of Kamensk-Uralsky was a decisive victory for the new Russian state, wiping out the largest independent population center remaining in West Siberia. T-80U Tanks stormed encircled the city, quickly destroying the few tanks the Militia fielded, mostly old T-55 and T-64 models. The battle progressed quickly as the much better trained and equipped Black League troops wiped out the smaller militia force in house to house combat. The city was first encircled on August 1st, and fighting ended on August 4th.

There wouldn't be. This world is sitting at preindustrial development, with greatly varying areas of industrialisation, and in some cases, even electricity. They are better off than medieval peasants, but not by a lot (this also varies greatly. Some areas are relatively unharmed by much of anything, Lichtenstein for example, while some people live in desolate wastelands deprived of any comfort and fighting for day-to-day survival). I just did the wikibox for clarity in the engagement, rather than bullet-point all the numbers and attach an awkward photo.

As the Black League expanded across Russia, Decontamination teams, along with armies of construction workers, came into cities, mostly in various states of disrepair. One "good thing" that the National Reclamation Government did before the Great War was create ABM systems to protect Russia from Nuclear missiles. However, the meager amount of them compared to the amount of Enemy nuclear weapons did not prevent hits from taking place all over Russia. Most major cities, with the exception of Chelyabinsk (Science and industrial center) and Omsk (Capitol and military-industrial center) were hit directly, while Chelyabinsk and Omsk were mostly protected by their more numerous and advanced ABM systems, while almost every other major town or city had a National Redoubt underneath (even Chelyabinsk and Omsk had their own Redoubts, which held thousands of people in their own right).

Reintegration with the surface began in 2021, as the world slowly recovered from its mess. The Black League sent out armies of construction workers and engineers, both civilian and military, from it's bases all across Russia. Its tanks, mostly the T-80U built in large numbers before the war, carried soldiers and supplies huge distances in relative security. Even the most hardened survivors and hunters in the Russian wastes thought long and hard about attacking tanks, especially those with as much firepower as the
T-80.

The next step after the famous and reliable T-80U was the M-1 upgrade to it, adding superior protection and another NBC protection layer to the tank, as well as capability to fire the 3BM60 shell, a new AP round that nearly doubled the penetration of pre-war rounds. This tank entered service in Russia in 2017

A pair of the famous British boy-band, The Beatles, pictured performing the Fascist salute at the preliminary of one of their concerts on the 11th of May 1963 (1). Before the English Civil War, band members had been seen to have occasionally done so at times between their 1960 debut in the Third Reich, at Hamburg and their last concert 9 days before the breakout of the German Civil War before permanently discontinuing afterwards. The band themselves would maintain that the act of saluting was always to uphold a façade of support for the German New Order, so as to avert suspicions of "subversion", especially since they were held in low regard by German plenipotentiaries for making music that was clearly inspired by "degenerate" American genres of Rock and Blues. Indeed, the Beatles debut in Hamburg would be the first and last time that they would set foot in Nazi Germany as they would be barred from entering throughout their existence. It was the more lighter regulations on music within England that allowed the band to build up their rise to fame.

Since the assassination attempt on King Edward VIII last year, the Blackshirt paramilitary personnel of the collaborationist government-aligned British Union of Fascists had been increasingly prevalent in public life as a self-professed force of safety and order against the threat of resistance terrorism.
The band was famously composed of John Lennon (the founder and leader), George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. Starr himself was included into the band as a replacement of a former member; Pete Best who broke with the band in 1962 out of growing resentment towards the ruling pro-German collaborationist government and the Nazis which the band acknowledged may had eventually made things problematic for them, as a big-name band in German-dominated England. Best would be found to have fought for the HMMLR and perished in the battle of Leeds during the English Civil War (the 1966 song "farewell my friend" being made in tribute to him).
During the civil war the Beatles would greatly further their popularity by holding performances for groups of Internally Displaced Persons in numerous shelters and camps. After the government's victory, Lennon would at times voice criticism on the British political establishment, especially the Royal Party in particular, in his belief that it was their compliance towards the German Fascist dominance over England and supposed disregard towards the masses that was the main reason for the civil war happening in the first place. Controversy surrounding this viewpoint would be sparked over a single that the band had wrote in 1965; "It's ok to leave a hot dog in the car" (2) which got briefly subjected to censorship under Obscenity laws from the provocative title alone and prohibited from sale. As Lennon explained, the song was directed at the old Douglas-Home Royal Party administration as well as even the Nazi government before their respective civil wars. It was a critique of how these political establishments were incapable of resolving social polarization and that their inept ruling of their states had allowed tensions to boil over into civil bloodshed. The censorship itself would ignite debate within the halls of Westminster concerning laws that were perceived to repress Freedom of Expression. Eventually, the United England government of Harold MacMillan, with high encouragement from Reginald Maudling, then proceeded to successfully have such laws repealed as part of United England's campaign to progress away from the past of collaboration via liberalization. Though some historians would say that the fact that the song was criticizing of the Royal Party had influenced this move by Prime Minister MacMillan, whose personal commitment for true liberalization had (whether rightly or wrongly) come under scrutiny once he was usurped by Maudling.
The band would break up in 1973. Popular releases would include; Pfennig Lane, Hey Jude, Now We're Here, Something For You and Let It Be.

With the complete destruction of the B.E.F at Dunkirk, the United Kingdom had lost most of its army. Its calls for aid from the United States fell on deaf ears, with president Kennedy continuing his policy of isolation. American aid came too little too late. Germany held off launching an invasion until the war in the east against the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ended. With the collapse of the USSR in late 1942, the stage was set for the largest amphibious invasion in history.

In early 1943, the Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe launched a series of crippling blows against the Royal Navy. Once the British had been sufficiently weakened, the Germans launched a massive landing operation on the southern coast of England. They smashed through the British defenses, seizing the south and west of the country with speed practiced in France and Russia. Under the command of General Eisenhower, American troops formed defensive lines alongside the last of the Allies. Americans, British, French, Belgians, Dutch, Polish, Soviets all held the line, but the Germans hordes poured in endlessly. When one Panzer was destroyed, two more would take its place. Allied pilots became aces in an hour, and then a grave marker in the next. Slowly but surely, the Allies were pushed back towards Scotland. By April 1945, preparations were being made to evacuate all remaining Allied troops from the British Isles.Aftermath
With the evacuation of Allied troops, the war in Europe came to an end. British troops in Scotland declared independence and neutrality, which the Germans respected due to not wanting a protracted war in the Highlands. Wales too became independent, albeit with huge German influence. England itself was placed under the collaborationist Kingdom of England under the previously abdicated Edward VIII.
