Also, a Brazilian battle-assault rifle for a Future History or Alternate Retrofuturistic Timeline done with pixlr , Photomosh and Pimp My Gun

Heavily inspired by the -wave music genres, Resistance 1-2-3 & Hotline Miami

Imbel stands for "Brazilain Military Industries" and the model you picked for the picture is called IA-2 (Imbel Assault 2) it's a 5.56 NATO rifle (the fist of it's kind fully produced in Brazil (The other models used by the brazilian military were a personal version of the FAL rifle, also made by imbel and the HK-33 for the air force both 7.62x56 but i might be mistaken on that because i'm writing this at 4am)
In addition to that a few nice comments tha could help your story, this rifle is only sold to the army and is for exclusive use of the military, but it has proven itself a very reliable durable, easy to operate and cheap rifle (around 1200 dollars on the actual conversion) so two nice rules for you, if it falls in wrong hands, it wassold by a corrupt military or factory officer and second, due to all the quotations above it woul prove itself a very good rifle for militias, private armies and rebels, since it was made to be fought in all brazilian terrain that goes from cities, rainforest and deserts...
i hope i helped at something, good luck.

@Didascalo well you seem to be very knowledgeable in the matter of firearms. Honestly I wasn't aware how it was viewed the IA2.
AFAIK most of the Brazilian military is OK with using their current equipment and vehicles, but even the guys I know in the Brazilian Armed Forces complain that both haven't been updated since the mid 1980's, which you think would be a priority considering that crime has gone up in most cities and states because until recently public safety and violence seemed to be a secondary issue for most governments...

Are you perhaps Brazilian or just know a lot about guns?

I spent a few minutes screwing around with Ribbet and made this spiffy little title card for my TL by more or less butchering Otto Dix's Shock Troops Advance under Gas.

Guilty, I'm Brazilian and a firearms fan, what happens on the military is just a fraction of the real gun "state-runned" industry, that happensfor examplebcs the State of São Paulo has 44Mi habitants (pretty closeto france) and more them 230.000 active men in their police force (here called the military Police) and they use the same standard equipment as the army (that happens to have a little bit more than 300.000 active members), on the vehicle and tech development side, Brazil rathers spent their money buying tech fromtheir allies and producingMilitary Frankenstein's like the Guarani, a light Blinded assault vehicle that can be modulated to use Anti-Personel, Anti-Tank and Anti-Aircraft weapons according to necessity, if Ihad to define military research in Brasil with one word would be... Adaptable, because the creativity to use the same equipament for 4 or 5 functions makes an outstanding difference specially considering the low number of carrer soldiers (Less than 200.000) that happens becausemore than a third of the active military is compulsory by the age of 18 and can´t be followed as a carrer, so every year, new soldiers come and need to learn everything and them go out in 1 or 2 years (pretty bad system if you ask me) as a result, wedon't have many specialized units, every branch of brazilian military is a joker card, and a had full of jokers is bad as fuck hahaha. And about the governments and their Defunding of the military, At the 80's Brazil came out of a military distatorship (I know, pretty south american) and ALL the governments that came after thta were heavily anti-military since 2002 Brasil had 4 presidents, 2 of them fought in communist militias and were arrested for armed confrontations with the dictatorship at the time (the were also very corrupt and destroyed the economy while there, but that's for other day), the only government since the redemocratizaon that supports the army is the current one (since the president was a military carreer captain) but he sucks too...
Sorry, i got carried away,oh about the violence, it is pretty bad in most places but the stats are broken, when you compare São Paulo (13 Homicides by 100k residents) with Pernanbuco (49 Homicides by 100k residents)you have a 31H/100k residents ratio by state... and as you can see it's not very accurate, never trust numbers given by governmets, at least in Brazil, i don't, the deep state is powerfull here and perpetuating power is the only political agenda...
Sh*$ got carried away again, none of those answers are easy though, i hopei helped, anything else you need, don't mind to ask ;)

I was wondering if someone could make a 2020 presidential campaign poster for a fictional politician. His name is John Dean he is a Democrat (which are more like Republicans in my universe). Here’s what my image of him is if that helps.

Here's something of an experiment I did for the RDNA-verse. Namely, creating some custom "Super Events" with The New Order mod for Hearts of Iron IV.

On top of the in-universe "vidscreen" aesthetic, I wanted to see how the setting would translate into a video game. And it seems like, even with this quick project, it has potential. Perhaps one day, there might be something that might come from it. At any rate, it's still pleasantly surprising how well the end-results turned out, and how they blend in rather nicely with the overall tone.

Just to be on the safe side, this is a work of fiction. This is not a political or ideological screed. The politically incorrect details in the map and text as deliberately meant to be in-universe. In addition, depiction is not endorsement.

All the same, hope you enjoy!

Having done a Super Events post for the RDNA-verse, one question came to mind: why not more?

The result is this compilation custom "Super Events" with The New Order mod for Hearts of Iron IV, thanks in part to the Template for TNO Super Events submod on the Steam Workshop. On top of the in-universe "vidscreen" aesthetic, I wanted to seriously see how it would translate into a video game. More than this, it's a good opportunity to depict various historical events and situations either shown or mentioned in the various works in the setting. The last eight in particular are actually possible "future" scenarios, five of which being TNO-style "endgame" outcomes for the long-standing Cold War gripping that alternate world. It's at once cursed, haunting yet beautiful.

Just to be on the safe side, this is a work of fiction. This is not a political or ideological screed. The politically incorrect details in the map and text as deliberately meant to be in-universe. In addition, depiction is not endorsement.

All the same, hope you enjoy!

Here's another quick post for the RDNA-verse. Though this one is based on the (in)famous Future Compass meme, depicting various potential outcomes for the setting. The DeviantArt version is here.

While perhaps taking a few cues from The New Order mod for Hearts of Iron IV, I try my best to make this as crisp and original as possible, even while keeping true to the meme format. In addition, some of the images and quips are references to the Orwellian, Dieselpunk and Cold War inspirations of the universe. Along with some other touches. I'll leave the rest to you to guess what each section of the Compass alludes to. The future, after all, is not set.

Just to be on the safe side, however, this is a work of fiction. This is not a political or ideological screed. Depiction is not endorsement.

All the same, hope you enjoy!

----

For some added trivia, regarding a few quips:

The "Lehi-Ba'athist-Nasserite-Mosleyite" New Order, in addition to alluding towards a Reactionary "victory," is a reference to both Reactionary Australia and Reactionary Levant.

While "Verify Your Clock" is a nod to TNO, it also aptly describes the tense "status quo" and the spectre of atomic holocaust. Now imagine that persisting indefinitely, and consider this being the least "cursed" bad outcome...

"Sanctuary in the Stars" is a reference to the setting's (rather downplayed) space capabilities, carried over from way back in the original RP, and how moving to space would be the absolute last-ditch scenario.

"Collectivism with Sane Characteristics" alludes to how there are Collectivist and what would otherwise be "socialist" elements that are much more sane and reasonable than the Party, while aspiring to achieve what the ideals ought to have been. Not unlike a certain Valery Sablin.

"New World Republican Hegemony" points to an outcome wherein the Free World's republican powers, namely the The Twin Republics of the American Federation and Gran Patagonia, emerge as the dominant powers.

The "Global Symphony" bit is essentially the "Free World unifies relatively peacefully for the most part" outcome.

As for the National Question...I can neither confirm nor deny.

"No one denies the many benefits of metahuman science, but one of its costs to human researchers was the realization that they would probably never make an original contribution to science again. Some left the field altogether, but those who stayed shifted their attentions away from original research and toward hermeneutics: interpreting the scientific work of metahumans...
"The question is, are these worthwhile undertakings for scientists? Some call them a waste of time, likening them to a Native American research effort into bronze smelting when steel tools of European manufacture are readily available. This comparison might be more apt if humans were in competition with metahumans, but in today's economy of abundance there is no evidence of such competition. In fact, it is important to recognize that — unlike most previous low-technology cultures confronted with a high-technology one — humans are in no danger of assimilation or extinction...
"We need not be intimidated by the accomplishments of metahuman science. We should always remember that the technologies that made metahumans possible were originally invented by humans, and they were no smarter than we."

"'Those who are born in the Reservation — and remember, my dear young lady,' he added, leering obscenely at Lenina, and speaking in an improper whisper, 'remember that, in the Reservation, children still are born, yes, actually born, revolting as they may seem...' (He hoped that this reference to a shameful subject would make Lenina blush; but she only smiled with simulated intelligence and said, 'You don't say so!' Disappointed, the Warden began again. ) 'Those, I repeat who are born in the Reservation are destined to die there...'
"Leaning forward, the Warden tapped the table with his forefinger. 'You ask me how many people live in the Reservation. And I reply,' — triumphantly — 'I reply that we do not know. We can only guess.'
"'You don't say so.'
"'My dear young lady, I do say so...'
"'… about sixty thousand Indians and half-breeds … absolute savages … our inspectors occasionally visit … otherwise, no communication whatever with the civilized world … still preserve their repulsive habits and customs … marriage, if you know what that is, my dear young lady; families … no conditioning … monstrous superstitions … Christianity and totemism and ancestor worship … extinct languages, such as Zuñi and Spanish and Athapascan … pumas, porcupines and other ferocious animals … infectious diseases … priests … venomous lizards …'"

"In a 14-12 en banc decision, the United States Supreme Court has ruled in the case of Belkross v. Palouse Department of Health and Human Services that states are not obligated to recognize metahumans who no longer make 'substantial use' of a physical form, as defined in Jalaketu v. United States (2068), as citizens. President Thomas-Wright applauded the decision, while members of the Progress Party are expected to advance a proposed 40th Amendment to the states that would, if ratified, overturn it..."
