Bulgars Push into Persia instead of Byzantium, What are the effects?

In OTL, the Bulgars of the Pontic-Caspian Steppe pushed through the Avars and eventually settled in Modern day Bulgaria after rampaging through the Byzantine Empire, establishing subsequent Empires as a result. However, instead of going West as per OTL, what if in an ATL they went East into the collapsing Sassanaid Empire? What would need to happen for this to be done and what would be the immediate effects of a Bulgar controlled Persia?

Have old great Bulgaria not collapse or asperukh goes to the Caucasus region or the founders of Volga Bulgaria to go to the area between the caspain and aral seas

The problem is that me Muslims most likely defeat them like they did with the Turks in the otl timeline even after all the events of the Arab invasion Constantine could ans would have destroyed them had he not left the field the bulgarians would not stand much of a chance against the umayads

Even if this happens instead of a lasting Bulgar rule in Persia, the *absence* of Bulgars from the Balkans has a huge and mostly positive impact on the ERE in Europe.

If the Bulgars rampage through Persia, settle there, rule it for a few years, before being conquered by the Arabs, will their Turkic language and ethnic identify persist in Persia as one of many over the long haul, or will they dissolve without a trace. Persia has alot of Turkic speaking minority peoples.
