A group of Filipino gangsters armed with rusty bolos securing a portion of a slum in Metro Manila. Despite being the considered the worst reclamation campaign of the war by the United Nations, a few survivors managed to hold out as "islands in the Sea of Zack", gangsters and street criminals among many of them.

The Paraguayans would also have utilized their Shermans and Stuarts to act bulldozers.

M3 Stuarts of the Paraguayan Army were utilized as bullzoers and AIFVs against the hordes of Zs. Alongside their aging M4 Shermans, these WWII tanks surprisingly effective.

Milsurp rifles such as the Mauser pattern (notably the Zastava M48, K-98, and vz. 24) and Mosin Nagant series were used heavily during WWZ, with many people preferring due to their reliability in poor conditions.

Two Egyptian thunderbolt commandos standing behind barbed wires in a safe zone in Gizeh.

I could see the Egyptians safe zone being the Sinai with a defensive line west of the Suez Canal. I could see the world collaborating to keep the Suez canal open and the Israeli's backing and supporting the Egyptians. Having the Egyptians effectively protect Israel's southern frontier by keeping the Sinai clean while the Israeli's focus on the Northern and Eastern frontiers.

Seems interesting but Zeks swamrs coming from desolated Cairo and Alexandria would be a nigthmare for maintaining some safe zones.

That's true for most of them to degree. And at a pinch the Suez Canal can be used as a moat. Most of the Sinai is also pretty underdeveloped and there aren't many even medium sized population centers. That should ease up the rear threat.

A militia operated M2 machine-gun firing on a Zek hoard during the Battle of Eau Claire. In late September of 2017, a massive battle was fought directly south of the city of Eau Claire of Wisconsin. Which despite heavy human casualties, would prove to be a victory for them.

Filipino village scouts armed with a surplus M-14 and an M1 Carbine. Village scouts (mostly comprised of armed civilian volunteers) are responsible for clearing wandering zombies alongside the Philippine Army's Citizen Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) in the rural portions of the Philippines where the AFP and the PNP have a hard time reaching the area due to poor roads, lack of vehicles, and impassable terrain.
