Ooc: Batista coup was foiled. Minimal side effects on the rest of the world.
I was watching Potential History video about the Cuban low level guerrilla warfare in the late fifties and early sixties against the president Ramon Grau and later under the social democrat one that succeeded him and was wondering, even if Cuba today is by many a paradise the island got some massive problems of wealth concentration and only hit 99% literacy in the late 80s. Let's say that one of the guerrillas take over, how the island could be today? Could Cuba be divided like Germany was or Korean is? I don't see the USA having a pro Soviet state so close so we could have a north-south Cuba divide.
