Here's Central North America currently, 'bout like 80% done with it

The Race? Also what in gods name is happening to the Amazon? A co-dominion?

The Race made the amazon basin one giant nature preserve while they were on Earth: it was too humid for them to settle, and Race biologists were fascinated by the jungle ecology, which didn't have an equivalent back Home. By the time the Race were forced onto "reservations", humans had developed a strong ecological consciousness (in part, ironically, due to the devastating effect of Race invasive species on desert and semidesert terrestrial environments), and there was strong international support for keeping it development-free. The pre-existing nations which had controlled the area before Race conquest weren't happy with the idea, but grudging accepted the notion of a joint guardianship over an Amazon to be kept as unspoiled as possible (the Brazilians and Andeans are already cheating outrageously on their obligation to keep any resource extraction as ecologically un-disruptive as possible, although at least the jungle isn't being cut down wholesale to make room for hamburger generators).

Independent Catalonia: yay or nay? (it should be LATIN-wank... which includes spanish as well as catalonian one, probably? :D)
For the same reason, there will be probably no Irish Australia (maybe can Chile into colonial empire, even if absolutely tiny?)
No independent Belgium also, sorry. But there is sort of B./Valonia-in-exile (ok, not exactly, but man of that origin is head of state)

I was unsatisfied with my prior efforts, but this time I think something good will happen. This future history work has a POD in the 1980s, and features inspiration from 1980s Cyberpunk, 80s-90s Retrofuturism, Zompist's "The Fire Shall Try," and various other things. There's a lot going on in the map, from an empowered Japan-Turkey axis seeking to dominate the world's major trade routes, to the sclerotic husks of the formerly powerful socialist regimes, to young and dynamic African states rising to stake their claim on the global stage.

I started building an expanded version of the physical EqualD that showed the north and south poles, and... let's say I ended up getting excited...
I set up four versions of this EqualD with different poles of view, and I'm still at the beginning of this project (I haven't designed the coasts yet) but only with the topography it looks so good

A map which i've been working on for quite a while now. i am attempting to create an expy of Earth, and in order to simulate history, i made different maps for every 50 years of history that passed. i'll continue this until i reach 2019 AD. any thoughts?

What is OTL New Jersey is pretty much complete on the map I keep posting WIPs of. Here's a peek. I changed the maps base color from yellow to green, let me know what you think:

What's going on with Kashmir? The claims don't seem to be marked for the various powers (understandable), but a red line would be nice. Also, why are Donetsk and Luhansk marked with borders where they don't control? If it's based on claims, then Kashmir should have claims marked for India, China and Pakistan. Same goes for Somaliland.
It would be nice if you marked the areas in Mexico where cartels have more control then the actual government, that would be cool, but not entirely needed (really cool).

Overall, it's a great map, and I love it.
