Map of the Fortnight: Main Discussion Thread

I have a couple of ideas for some mofts:
Double-Sided Coin: Show a war/cold war map between 2 nations with almost identical ideologies (like between soviet and american stratocracies)
Death of a Bachelor: A map of a nation that has finally (re) united with another nation
It's Always Sunny: A map where you have to show a nation, or a part of the nation, on the Equator, or close by
In the Shadows: A map of a nation that has always been less important than it's neighbor, until that neighbor collapses. you have to show the aftermath of them becoming a major nation.

In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king: Show a country that is a major regional power, not because it is particularly powerful, but because its neighbors are exceptionally weak.

First of all, congratulations to @Višeslav for winning MotF 207 his map of Ukraine and its allies!

The voting thread for MotF 208 is now posted, so be sure to check that out and vote for your favorite!

Does it have to be a country? Can it be a first-level subdivision?

This would be fine, as long as the inhabitants of that province/state/prefecture/etc. have a significantly unique worldview that is reflected in the second map. :)

Does the second map need to be of the entire world? Could we have a map of a particular neighbouring region or even continents?

The second map does not need to be a complete world map, but it needs to show some portion of the world beyond the country portrayed in the first map. A regional or continent would be fine.

Thoughts on these?

The Holy Elsewhere Make a map showing a pivotal holy place that is away from the main areas of the religion it is important to.

World Police Make a map showing a regional conflict or its aftermath where a superpower or world-spanning empire has militarily intervened.

No, WE'RE The Real Government
Make a map showing a country during a civil war that's gone on long enough that most people outside the country just think of it as having split into multiple countries. Examples from OTL would be Korea with the ROK vs. the DPRK, or China with the PRC vs. the ROC.

Guns of the North
Depict a civil war or revolution going the other way (I.E., the North seceding from the South in the ACW, monarchists rising up against the USSR during the Russian Revolution, etc.)

(This could alternatively be named "No, U" or "Uno Reverse Card," depending on how meme-y you want it to be.)

Bringing this bad boy back because I have an idea for it

I Am Error: Make a map depicting a nation or border anomaly created by mistake (e.g. Minnesota's Northwest Angle).
It's Dangerous to Go Alone: Make a map depicting a nation or region who has managed to prosper/start winning thanks to foreign aid.
It's a Secret to Everyone: Make a map depicting the aftermath of the revealing to the public of a territorial change or treaty that has been kept secret for years.

We only have one entry in so far, and I know there's at least one that is stalled by some computer trouble, so I will go ahead and extend MotM 7 out until January 13. In the meantime, let me know what topics interest you for MotF 209!
