I could ignore the sloppy borders (again a case of hand drawn over a modern map, in that regard is is almost tolerable)
I might be able to ignore neutral Corsica and Sardinia (they forgot to fill in the paint)

But then I noticed Croatia...

Right. There seem to be two different shades of gray, but if the darker shade signified being part of the allies, then they would have Turkey and Finland as being part of the Allies.

Indeed. But still a poor color choice. Another example for bad colors, the official Dystopian Wars world map. The best thing to say about it is that it isn't educational at all but for a tabletop game.

It might be the lighting or the quality of the camera used, but Prussia, France, Japan and America are so similar to each other that they are hard to differentiate.

Additionally while I won't say much about the improbably borders (it is fiction after all) the map makers visible left the OTL borders on nearly the entire map.

It almost looks like Russia is flying into space away from the rest of the world. Probably to escape whatever sort of geological catastrophe distorted the earth’s land masses like that.
