So apparently a rework for Patagonia/Socialist Argentina is in the works, probably way down the line (maybe along with Spain?), and it will remove several people including Fonte, swap some people around within the tag, give two Syndie and RadSoc paths, will allow restoration of republican democracy.

There is a republican democracy option if the military coups Carles, but I've only seen it once. One of the liberal options. They can peacefully reunify the country even.

I was playing Jacobvsky and Oked it. That was something.

So for my Chinese Narrative AAR, here are the current main PoV characters I am thinking of(things may change):

  • Ren Jiyu: A young minister of public works. Unfortunate for him the Zhili have made the government a cesspool of corruption, something that Jiyu can't stand. He is a member of the NCERA party.

  • Cao Fei: The wife of Zhang Yi, a rising member of Young China Party. She is working with Yi to help him rise up the ranks both in the party and help YCP within Chinese politics.

  • Li Jinyuan: A business man in one of the Chinese banks. Of course 1936 is rather terrible for bankers around the world. His faction is himself(whatever benefits him is who he supports)

  • Jayajala Muten: A scion from a Manchu noble family who becomes an Officer in the Qing Army. He is aligned with the Zongshe or Manchu Party.

  • Chen Zhen: A village militia leader from a small fishing village along the Yellow River. Because he is just a simple villager, he is not really part of the main parties and the political power struggles.

Here the situation of the brazilian old republic for you to get it:

Brazil was balkanized from 1889 until 1930, the central government was more of a diplomatic force than a government, so much that some states were broken into oligarchs zone of control. When Brazil bought our first tanks in 1921, they were not proprierty of the brazilian army, they were proprierty of the state of São Paulo and more directly under the oligarchy rulling it.

That IS sengoku Jidai. The brazilian old republic was like Warlord era China or feudal japan. The oligarchs that took power in the 1889 coup devolved the country into a almost feudal situation, so much that they had their own militia (jagunços), we had bandits raiding cities like Lampião (Lampião raided, raped and looted cities in eight states), we had governors ruling without elections for decades and decades like Borges de Medeiros, we had states falling into civil war like the Rio Grandense civil war. When the 1930 revolution happened the situation was close to the Meiji restoration, because the combined civilians, low ranking officers, thinkers and innovative politicians from other states marched and took the capital and created a federal government.

On Red Flood the situation got so bad that the 1935 communist coup that failed miserably OTL did succed, but if you win as the reaction and fail to unite everyone the situation get even worse as it was before.

For now you get Antonio Carlos de Andrada in power, he was appointed to be the president in 1930 OTL but later scrapped as the oligarchy wanted to centralize all power on the state of São Paulo and appointed Júlio Prestes instead, this made the whole structure collapse and caused the 1930 revolution. On Red flood he was appointed and so the system continued crumbling for five more years until exploded even worse.

On the future there are more routes to be added, but I won't give spoilers, sorry :p
