Better overall US PAK relations

Possibly less Pakistan dependent on chinese military aid

Really not much change in kashmir

Pakistan economy took a nose dive after bhutto nationalization schemes and loss of US aid

Internally military still would be dominant

Will india still intervene in 1971 in east Pakistan? Not sure

India economy growth in 1960 never going to hamper and India will not close its market for American good and businessman and will easily import technology to produce indigenous weapons, not waste a large amount of money to buy Soviet arms, which primary left to develop heavy industry in-country, in next 7 years India will complete for l modernization of its army after defeat of 1962 from China when it feal need of modern weapon against its world war era arsenal, A India which does not closely associate with Soviet as it after1965 war in OTL, will gain support from western countries .

1971 in east Pakistan? Not sure

I doubt they wouldn't as a major factor was stopping and returning the refugees

Why would it be given Pakistan's larger population and much more varied geography?

IIRC they were following the same development plan South Korea used before the 65 War derailed it.

I would believe so, as Pakistan didn't have a Korean-War analogue in its history and India isn't like North Korea.
