Yet another series of flags from the Eastern World.
Originally a Chinese colony, the Ganasangha of Tiāntángcóng is located on the west coast of Nishitochi (OTL California, North America). Founded by the Chinese decades after Japanese exploration, it was settled in the early 1600s by a mix of different Chinese ethnicities and even some Maori. Tiāntángcóng was more traditionally autonomous due to the separation of by the Pacific Ocean. After chafing under heavy taxes in the aftermath of the Nine Years War, the colony invoked the Mandate of Heaven and revolted against China. After winning its war of independence, the new nation would form a government based upon the system of Indian Ganasanghism.
The north western colonies of Japan, the modern day Yunaiteddoken, were inspired to rebel against the Shogun and the Emperor by their neighbor to the south in 1799. The six ken, after winning their independence, banded together to form a confederation. Internal disagreements debates over the nature of the powers of the government led to a Nishitochi Era of Warring States as the diferent clans and kens fought against each other for sixteen years until the General Akaya Yuto unified the provinces in 1836. Akya, decended from both Japanese and Native Americans, served as Shogun for the next twelve years before stepping down, leaving a legacy of a more peaceful and united Yunaiteddoken.
(If I made any gramatical errors, I'm sorry. I'm not particularly good with either Chinese or Japanese language).
