Blood Lords
Already ancient by the time of their imprisonment these lords of blood have only grown stronger with their slumber. Each one of these lords rule vast kingdoms in their right, only holding the barest pretense of a united front.
Xingcai the Blood Empress: Well known amongst the courts of the night for her beauty only match be her sharp wit having been spawned during the early Shang Dynasty. Spending untold generations weaving her web across China and the far East before her imprisonment, manipulating and influencing the ancient courts of the east. Now having taken direct rule of much of Western China following her awakening.
Sabum the Last Heir of Babylon an ancient warrior and prince of the Babylonian Empire having turned himself into a vampire after slaying a seasoned vampire in personal combat. Personally taking part in countless wars since then including the battle of the Thermopylae and the Punic Wars. Having personally conquered the fallen Ottoman Empire, Arabia and neighboring lands with his army of the undead after being awakened into the modern age, "tolerating" the Islamic faith of his subjects to the best of his ability. Though that hasn't stopped him from massacring the more openly fundamentalist members of his domains en mass, while still being one of the more reasonable and benevolent vampiric rulers actually upholding his laws and still treating the humans under his rule as actual people. Yet he does yearn the ancient ways of his people, forming the basis of his friendship with Ragnar. Both being warriors of a bygone age, who still cling the beliefs of their people and run their lands somewhat benevolently.
Ragnar the Bloody the youngest of the lords having only been a few mere centuries old when he was sealed away with the rest of his ilk, rising to his rank through sheer battle prowess. Having conquered the ancient lands of his birth since his awakening with a few meager forces, trying to revive the old ways of the Vikings to at best "mixed" results. Though admittedly he's scene fit to let the humans under his rule to largely run things as they did before his arrival. The former fisherman's son turned lord of the night having formed an unusual friendship with the Babylonian Prince Sabum since they've awoken in the modern world.
Alexander an ancient warlord fondly remembers sacking Rome and riding with Attila. Well known for being possibly the cruelest of his kind amongst the Blood Lords, actively releasing armed prisoners of war into the wilds of his lands to hunt for sport and his use of half breed soldiers from his "breeding program's" to enforce his will across his domains of the old Austro-Hungarian Empire and Balkans. His proximity to the human powers having made him well aware of the lengths they'll go to crush him, especially following the loss of his western territories after Iron Storm. Something that he has responded to in kind being willing to use any possible means to hold onto his power. Desperately doing everything possible to prevent the Impaler from returning to the lands of his birth. Knowing full well the lands Romania are tide to Tepes, no more so than Wallachia.
Marcue an ancient Roman General who was reborn as a vampire through sheer rage at the loss of his men after being betrayed by his treacherous officers. Now reduced to Alexander's general and vassal after his defeat against the Vatican and loosing his domains to Alexander's. His position only worsened after the Iron Storm and loss of his lords western territories, despite the fact he was clearly outmatched by foes superior industrial capacity.
Lady Katrina ruler of the former Russian Empire having been turned sometime after the fall of Rome in Eastern Europe her cryomancer abilities have so far made any possiblity of a full scale human invasion of her lands limited. Less they freeze to death or consumed by blizzards before even reaching her cities. Mainly concerning herself with supplying Alexander with just enough raw materials and troops to keep the humans at stalemated and nothing else. Preferring to spend her energies raising her three little ones after her recent marriage following her release.
