French America_Canada Flag (1).png
This the French North American Flag. The tricolour represents France and the emblem represents the French colony of New France in North America. I made the tricolour more symmetrical.

My personal flag.

The tree in the canton is a Pacific Douglas Fir, which grows only on the NW Coast. Black and Orange were the colors of my university.

Good day.

Sorry to bother you, but I need some help. The fact is that I am currently working on the Atompunk/Raygun universe for Russian-speaking alternative worlds, and I can’t draw. I need a flag and coat of arms for the conditional Empire of Evil. If interested, you can contact.

This request should be put in the request maps/flags thread

Fascist Franco-British union flag.

small recommendation: use a single shade of red

slightly larger recommendation: don't use an emblem linked with only france. Either combine the PPF axe with a british one like the BUF (lightning bolt) or else create a new one from scratch. The problem with using the PPF one is that, unless of course this is the case in your timeline, it gives the impression of the french side taking over.

The coat of arms is simply the french one during the ancien regime (don't trust wikipedia). If you want something to represent New France specifically, I would recommand either inverting the colours (blue fleur de lys on gold) but in five to represent the 5 constituents or else having New France in that ATL adopt the proposed COA of canada under french rule OTL, this being the old french arms defaced with a sun:

That is extremely cool. Thank you.

Got two new ideology-themed flags, both of them on the Socialist end of the spectrum:

wqSJXI9.png

The first for a form of "Council Communism", with the overall design being inspired by this proposed symbol on the Kaiserreich Subreddit (which, itself, was probably inspired by one of the many custom focus tree icons that KR uses). Council Communism is more on the Libertarian end of the Socialist spectrum, with power being much more devolved and dispersed among the people themselves via numerous local councils. The next design, however, is much more on the Authoritarian end of the spectrum...

Or rather, more on the Totalitarian end of the spectrum. This design is for what I've given the shorthand name of "Surveillance Socialism", or "Orwellianism" if prefer to call it that. As the name obviously implies, this form of 'socialism' emphasizes a massive surveillance-state complete with secret-police and whatnot to defend against reactionaries, counter-revolutionaries, and subversive dissident elements. Basically Stalin-era USSR, the modern PRC, and North Korea. The design here is basically a reuse of the All-Seeing Eye logo I've used previously in my Fascist Argentina flag further up this very same page, though the "Eye inside Red Star" layout was inspired by the "Centralist" ideology icon used by the HoI4 mod "Godspeed".

That's basically it for now, so until next time!

Why the black? Why the two different reds? Why the distinctly GrecoRoman symbol?

Better than the first though seems a bit too busy for Authoritarian symbolism.
The black stripes need a bit of white like the central symbol.

1. Black/Red is a common color combination for Socialist ideologies that combine Anarchist and Communist ideas and concepts. Council Communism falls under the broader Libertarian Socialist umbrella.

2. I used the darker red for the background field, and the lighter red for the star as slight nod to how Council Communism is on the more Libertarian end of the Socialist ideology spectrum.

3. As I stated, it's based off the linked symbol design and an in-game KR focus icon; more generally, though, that style of building is commonly associated with government in general - in this case, local government, like the workers' councils that Council Communism is centered around.

1. As I said, I was basically reusing the methodology I used for the eye from the Fascist Argentina flag for the eye here, and I was also recreating the Centralist icon's design from Godspeed from memory as well.

2. The black stripes were just there to fill up some empty space, as darker colors don't draw the eye as well as brighter colors do.

Wouldn't having councils be a tad at odds to Anarchism?
The different reds are too close, perhaps make the lighter one closer to pink. Otherwise to me it just suggested carelessness at best and ignorant at worst (neither of which strike me as you)

Which is generally why dark shades are paired with light ones.
Perhaps taking off the black outline on the eye will help?

1. Councils aren't necessarily at odds with Anarchism: what Anarchism espouses is the abolition of hierarchical authority, which is then replaced with direct democracy and free association; community councils composed of the people living in the community fits in line with both of these principles, as there is no vertical hierarchy present within a council, and citizens can all participate in council decisions, thus making it a direct democracy.

2. I tend to use Regular-Red and Dark-Red as standard colors whenever I'm doing Socialist-themed flags, so using pinkish colors doesn't really occur to me that often.

Already tried experimenting a bit with different color-contrasts when making it, this was the best result I managed to come up with.

Interesting.
I got the impression the ideology you were showing was a hierarchy councils, thanks for the correction.

The reds you were using seemed too clashy in my experience. Having the difference solely in contrast rather than also the hue seemed better.

Would you mind showing these? Just for interest sake.

Sorry, I meant that I was experimenting with them while creating the flag on Flag Maker: you can change the shape, size, rotation, and color of the overlays while making a flag, before settling on a final product and exporting it as a PNG image. I don't create a PNG image until I'm done with the flag, so I don't have any sort of WIP versions to show.

If you have overlays why have you not downloaded one of the free image programs like Gimp?

Beg pardon? Flag Maker's overlays are specific to it, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.
Well if you have something to download the overlays into why not download Gimp or similar? Flex your artistic muscles.

Welp, time for another low quality flag.
There was no country in mind for this, but it's probably in Africa.
Clearly it"s communist.
Just needs a little contrast round the stars - thin gold or white outlines.
