Here's a pretty ASB map I made, with the basic premise being America, the USSR, South Africa, France, Ethiopia, and India get alien technology in 1970, Causing them to become hyperadvanced. America uses it to pull North and South America into it's sphere, the USSR uses it to reform into a syndicalist Union of Sovereign States with an AI ran economy, South Africa uses it to become the worlds leading producer in advanced robotics and genetic modification, France uses it to effectively create a pretty centralized European Union, Ethiopia used it to destroy Somalia and economically dominate East Africa, India used it to dominate Southeast Asia and the Middle East politically, economically, and militarily. Other highlights of the world include Pan-Latin American terrorist in Argentina and Chile, a technocratic East Germany, British Hong Kong, an Intermarium coming out of several post Soviet/Yugoslavic states, a rump Yugoslavia, and a surviving South Vietnam.

Let me know if you have any feedback! Or any suggestions for a medieval country that I could do next, or something ATL even :)

Wonderful map - The level of detail on it is excellent and quite rare for medieval maps!

If you’re looking for suggestions for future medieval maps, I’ve recently begun reading about High Medieval Italy and I feel like it would make a cool map, particularly in the late 12th century when the Lombard League was fighting against the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick Barbarossa’s attempts to establish Imperial authority over the alps. Showing the many cities/communes and their shifting allegiances would make for an interesting premise on a map.

Interesting...

A small in-universe display of half a continent at the peak of its civil war. Leranyu (colored purple), once a great regional power and influencer, an absolute monarchy under the rule of a Vulpine royal family. In 659 SPE, the sovereign of Leranyu had died in a car accident, a power-hungry general named Abos Vamrin, had quickly taken control over the government with support from the military and had established a military junta. The beliefs of Vamrin could very well be summed up as a basket case of hatred and extreme authority. Uprisings began to sprout up in 661 in opposition to Vamrin, though most were weak and easily put down, things would get crazier as covert international support of those who opposed the tyrannical leader, waves of uprisings began to grow stronger. The peak of fighting was mostly in the 670s, with international geopolitics being infatuated with the situation in Leranyu.

Republic of Leranyu - A unitary military junta, with a pretty crazy fox in their palace.
Anti-Vamrin Forces - Mostly guerillas, international soldiers or mercenaries, opposed to Vamrin
Socialist Fronts - Diverse coalitions of socialism, mostly libertarian socialists.
Vamrin Extremists - Hard supporters of Vamrin, known for their extremely violent tactics.
Royalists - Those who still supported the past monarchy, and were willing to fight to bring it back as the royal family had been exiled to the large island northwest of all the fighting.

(Just some uh, low quality worldbuilding :p, more to come soon, and definitely better.)

Now this map's a bit small, but I don't have a present-day QBAM with a good enough color code so sorry.

This here shows the situation in Eastern Europe at the climax of the NATO propaganda novel 2017: War with Russia. Now I've read a lot of repugnant books from some very dark ideologies (most recently The Turner Diaries, which almost gave me nightmares), and while this certainly isn't the most awful one it's certainly up there. Basically, 2017 is the most extreme manifestation of the "Putin bad, Russia bad, America good, NATO good" narrative, taken as far as possible. And the best part? It's repeatedly implied that nuclear warfare is a preferable outcome compared to... well, any solution that doesn't involve ruining things for Russia. Diplomacy doesn't exist, negotiations don't exist, accepting the loss of three tiny puppet states is unthinkable... and don't even get me started on why Russia just randomly conquers the Baltics. A lot of it is basically the author attempting to translate the situation in Crimea up into the Baltics, and failing hilariously.

Oh, and the novel endorses what is effectively a terrorist organization, although I don't know if that's how they acted in real life (they were apparently a real thing).
