While chasing down an aquatic based monster near the South Pole, the USS Saratoga stumbles onto a severed head of a cybernetic monster partially sealed inside an iceberg. They retrieve the severed head and it is taken back to Ogasawara Island for study. The Japanese & American governments agree to pool resources on the study of giant monsters with Ogasawara Island as a base of operations:


The same unknown monster that attacked Beijing airport attacks Rome, and within 5 hours, the Italian capitol has been decimated. When interviewed after the attack by Italian media, Pope Francis states that the unknown monster "It's roar, it sounded like the screeching of a bell":

A 2021 billboard for the HD re release of the Chinese animated film Spirited Away by Studio Ghibli, the first non-state run animation house in China. The movie was about a little girl named Chihiro who, while following her father during a move accidentally crosses into the Spirit World with him and stumble upon a seemingly abandoned town. At night however the town is infested with lesser spirits and Chihiro and her father are quickly discovered by the unseen dictator of lands henchmen. The dictator goes unnamed in the film but is revealed in the credits to be Death. Her father allows himself to be taken and have his soul enslaved to work for Death in his City of the Gods to serve the Gods for all eternity. Chihiro however manages to make friends with a few of her coworkers and an enigmatic boy named Zhu who manage to hide her and helps get her to Death to bargain for her fathers soul. During the journey Chihiro and her allies travel through several districts to face and overcome various challenges of increasing difficulty including an evil witch, a massive flood and an battle between the Gods all the while being silently stalked by an apparition with a porcelain mask eventually revealed to be called No Face. When Chihiro finally arrives at Deaths Palace its revealed Zhu worked for Death, being told to help Chihiro make her way to Death while being observed by No Face who judged her. Death, impressed by Chihiro's courage and tenacity in the face of mounting adversity and agrees to free her father's soul and allow them both to return to the human world. The last scene of the movie, of Chihiro being solemnly rowed back to the human world by her father as No Face looks on, has become an iconic scene in pop culture and is parodied frequently.

The film gained almost immediate international success and praise becoming the highest grossing animated movie of all time and second highest grossing movie of all time, being demoted to second in 2020 with the release of Transformers: War for Cybertron. The movie however maintains a robust yet rabid fan base who has kept Spirited Away in the cultural zeitgeist for going on forty years. Director of the film, Japanese refugee Hideo Miyazaki stated that the movie was based on his experiences dealing with the traumatic death of his mother in the Japanese War when he was only 10, and how the experience matured him and allowed him to grow as a person. Chihiro is played by Miyazaki's then 11 year old daughter Biyu and her father is played by Miyazaki himself giving Chihiro's sobbing pleas for her fathers soul a noticeable sincerity that resonated with most people. The ending theme song, Still Waters by fellow refugee Jo Hisaishi has also gained a special place in many hearts and has gone platinum twice in the past four decades of its release. Studio Ghibli went on to release other smash hits including My Friend Totaru, Aces of the Skies and The Moving Castle but Sprited Away remains many peoples favorite Studio Ghibli film with Miyazaki being buried with a copy after his untimely death in 2025.

John Winston Ono Lennon MBE was an English singer, songwriter and peace activist who co-founded the Beatles after contracting cancer in 1970 he would ask his good friend and honorary member of the Beatles and The Rolling Stones Marilyn Monroe to have him spawned into a vampire. The band would grow distant and break down in the early 70’s but John would go on to write and sing throughout the 70’s.

After almost being attack by a mob of teen girls in 1962 they were “saved” by the Vampire Adze BlackHeart and Marylin Monroe along with James Dean the group would actually become very close friends with each other James and Marylin would introduce them to the second most popular band The Rolling Stones who she had became a honorary member of the band due to her saving them from a group of south Japanese anti vampire rioter. The two groups would collaborate on multiple songs and albums.​

A rare photo (captured by an urban explorer who miraculously avoided arrest) of the now abandoned Hawkins National Laboratory, located in the eponymous town of Hawkins, Indiana. The lab, which was operated by the U.S. Department of Energy until its closure in late 1984, was the subject of much controversy during its operation. Conspiracy theories surrounding the lab's activities range from human experimentation (including on children) to the lab being involved in the disappearance of a local boy in 1983. One conspiracy theory, considered outlandish even by other conspiracy theorists, alleges an inter-dimensional portal or gate was opened up in the lower levels of the building, allowing strange monsters to enter our world and run amok in the town. This theory has been largely dismissed as little more than science fiction and sensationalism.

However, in the Fall of 1984, credible proof of the lab's wrongdoings became public when it was revealed the facility was responsible for the disappearance and death of a local teenage girl, Barbara Holland, the year prior. The story given by the Department of Energy was that Holland had been exposed to a chemical asphyxiant, which was then covered by the lab. This lead to its closure and subsequent quarantining of the facility by the U.S. military, which continues to this day. Some conspiracy theorists doubt the government's claim and allege the true story of the stranger things that happened at Hawkins National Lab, and the surrounding town itself, continue to be covered up.
