Proposals and War Aims That Didn't Happen Map Thread

Here's The Foundations of Geopolitics, a book written in 1997 by Russian political analyst and fascist lunatic Aleksandr Dugin about how Russia could attain global superpower status throughout the 21st century. It's apparently quite popular as among Russian officials and has even been used as a textbook in the Academy of the General Staff of the Russian military. Which is surprising given how utterly ridiculous the book's premise and suggestions are.

The step-by-step process for Russia attaining total global supremacy over "Atlanticism" (i.e. America, Canada, and the UK) is as follows:
  • A solid alliance with Germany must be established immediately, which the book calls the "Moscow-Berlin Axis." This could be done by offering Kaliningrad to them, as well as the promise of de facto political control of all catholic and protestant states in Central and Eastern Europe.
  • France must be encouraged to side with Germany in a "Franco-German bloc."
  • Isolate the UK from Europe, preventing them from meddling both politically and militarily.
  • Absorb Finland, splitting it between the Republic of Karelia and the Murmansk Oblast.
  • Reabsorb Latvia and Lithuania, who will be given "Special Status." Estonia, meanwhile, we be under the German sphere of influence.
  • Either split Poland with Germany or also give it "Special Status."
  • Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, and the Republika Srpska will unify into the "Orthodox Collectivist East" and side with Russia against the West. Note that it doesn't say how or why, just that they will somehow.
  • Ukraine will be absorbed entirely by Russia because "Ukraine as a state has no geopolitical meaning, no particular cultural import or universal significance, no geographic uniqueness, no ethnic exclusiveness, its certain territorial ambitions represents an enormous danger for all of Eurasia and, without resolving the Ukrainian problem, it is in general senseless to speak about continental politics".
  • An alliance should be formed with Iran, which could be done by either splitting Azerbaijan with them or handing it over to them completely.
  • Armenia should become a key strategic ally.
  • Georgia should be dismembered, with it, Abkhazia and a "United Ossetia" all being absorbed by Russia.
  • All former Central Asian Soviet republics are naturally going to be retaken as well.
  • "Geopolitical shocks" are to be sent throughout Turkey, which could be employed by encouraging ethnic separatism among the Kurds, Armenians, and other minorities.
  • Mongolia will be absorbed.
  • China is to paradoxically both be "dismantled" as a threat- the book recommends taking Manchuria, Xinjiang, and Tibet- and yet giving China political dominion over Southeast Asia (aside from Vietnam), The Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia.
  • Japan will apparently be won over by giving them back the Kuril Islands.
  • Finally, Russian special forces within the United States will work to encourage, fund, and assist as much separatist, extremist, secessionist, and isolation dissent as they possibly can, particularly among "Afro-American racists" according to the book. The idea is to make America so unstable that they'll be unable to interfere in any of these plans or collapse entirely. At the same time, vast amounts of Anti-American propaganda and ideology are to be spread during this military campaign, which will apparently be enough to make everyone turn their backs on America and side with glorious Russia.
If all goes according to plan, by 2100, Russia will be the world's sole superpower. Oh, and if it seems like I left out Africa and Latin America, so did the book. It's not a big deal, since nothing eeever happens in either of those places anyway, right guys?

Well, someone needs to map this.

this sounds almost exactly like Novaya Russia from Empire Earth :p XD

Hmm, how bad idea would be Netherland-Oldenburg-Holstein invasion?
Not that bad, though I feel as though invading Norway would be a bit out of the way. Also wonder if the star on the fleet going the long way around Denmark is meant to be the only one to actually land in Germany. Really, these old magazines and such are wonderful. Let us see what people were thinking back in the day,

Nah, that's just a marker for Copenhagen.

The thought of Russia owning Tibet is...strange
It would also be a bit untenable since two of the world's highest mountain ranges are in the way (which is probably why there aren't any historical examples of steppe empires with that configuration)

To be fair, Tibet is an extremely hard nut to crack. Several invasions, from an attempted conquest Bengal in the late 1200's all the way to British and Chinese expeditions, were met with utter failure.

Claimed borders of the short-lived Kingdom of Syria (March 8-July 25 1920)
Not sure how much of this they actually controlled, but they definitely held a decent-sized chunk of Syria, including Damascus

Damn it, I hate looking at old maps.

So, I'm guessing the Syrian state would've stretched down into Iraq and held some territory along the Mediterranean?

No, it’s basically most of modern Syria, plus all of Lebanon, Israel, and Palestine, the western chunk of Jordan, and a tiny corner off of Saudi Arabia’s northwest

And here are some of the plans laid out by the American Expansionist Party, a group that seems to have been active from around 1997 to 2003.
