Awesome map, B_Munro! So many great references to literature and folklore. What was the rationale behind splitting up South America into several continents?

That was from the original map I was doing a cover on: no idea what the rationale was, although I have seen at least one "speculative" map from around Columbus's time or a bit earlier in which there are a lost of big islands in the space between Europe and Asia.

Very cool flags and scenario. I'm interested to intrigued by a lot of the ideologies, like "Progressive Corporatism", "Progressive Autocracy", "National Agorism", "Thelemic Social Democracy", well pretty much all of them!
Maybe it's related to the Theleme Abbey in Gargantua, a book from Rabelais, a French philosopher. It's a utopic Abbey where free thought, reflexion and enjoyment are encouraged
Thelmetic Social Democracy is actually a branch of socialism mixed in with Thelemic mysticism, which Aleister Crowley was famous for practicing. Think Berniecratic economic policy with a pagan theocracy.
As for the others -- Progressive Corporatism is a heavily moderated variant of Corporatism in which the Labour Unions are in control, Progressive Autocracy is lighthearted totalitarianism, as is National Agorism.
To help with place names, here's a rough map of what is generally considered the Midwest, usually with some occasional variation in the Dakota and Missouri areas:

The whole bloody time I was making this I was thinking "something don't feel right."

Here is some more progress on my French HRE map. Almost finished Western Europe. I tried to keep things fairly detailed but avoid too much clutter. I still need to do Eastern Europe but the basemap I used seems to have sparse information on that.

Is this is "French HRE", Germany is likely not communist, is it?

I agree with what you said and this map fully. However, I also must throw wood onto the fire and say New York west of the Susquehanna and Black Rivers, and Pennsylvania west of the Appalachians, tend to be Midwestern in all but name as well.

I never actually posted this, but this was to be the first map in a redo of a popular series of mine from a few map threads ago. In that series, Earth had seen the rise of a Force-like power in antiquity. In the reboot, I used an RNG to determine where the first Force-sensitives would appear and that led me to OTL Yemen. The "Sith" here dubbed the Settut were a small number of early Force wielders who appeared in the region some time ago, changing this Earth's history substantially. Anyway, I never did an actual write up and that meant I never posted the map. Here it is.

I did not make the Star Wars symbols or the camel symbol which were used in the map, nor remember where the heck I got them tbh. Everything else on the map itself was made by me.

The most wild maps I saw included Idaho in the Midwest so I figure that's entirely reasonable. Of course, I'm neither Midwestern nor a New Yorker (though I am Pennsylvanian, if only by birth!) so I don't know how inflammatory such a statement might be.

Fascinating stuff. Thanks for clarifying.

Finally, someone acknowledges the Mid-western-ness of Rochester and Pittsburgh
