God Wars Spinoff Part 1/Gods of Slavia Lore Part 1: The Battle of the Pripyat
The Pripyat River in the Volhynia Region, this where the two Goddess Devana and Marzanna clashed with each other.
The Greater Slavonic War was in it's 2nd Day, Marzanna, the Goddess of Winter, Death, and the Harvest, had sided with Veles due him being her husband. Devana, the Goddess of the Hunt, Forests, Love, Marriage, and Infancy, had sided with Perun. That day, the two Goddess had encountered each other in a forest near one of the snowy beaches of the River Pripyat, in which the two would engage each other in a fight that would last for days.
The Slavonic Goddess Devana/Dziewanna of the Hunt, Forests, Love, Marriage, and Infancy, with an alert lookout for any Spiritual forces who have allied with Veles.
Marzanna, the Goddess of Winter, Death, and the Harvest, getting ready for the fight against Devana.
When Devana fired her first arrow at Marzanna, Marzanna had breathed upon the arrow which caused it turn to ice and shatter upon impact. The same thing happened to the next arrow from Devana's bow. Then the next thing to happen was Marzanna ordering a pack of wolves to attack Devana, but Devana would repel that attack with the wolves retreating into the wolves. Marzanna would then send out an Alkonost to summon the Baba Yaga to come to her aid.
An Alkonost, a half-hawk, half-woman creature from the Slavic Underworld.
The feared Baba Yaga, one of Slavia's infamous witches in which she is well known for kidnapping and eating people.
By the 3rd day of the day, Devana had chased Marzanna across the Pripyat River Valley to an area where the Pripyat becomes the Dnieper River, north of the Slavonic settlement of Kiev. By this point, both of the goddesses had been exhausted, much of their Godly energy had been spent, but they were determined to defeat each other. Especially with Devana, who relentlessly chased Marzanna through the whole length of the Pripyat River. With the arrival of the Baba Yaga, the fight took on a whole new dimension. In which, the witch had placed a spell upon Devana which impeded upon her speed and also decreased the deadly accuracy of Devana's Bow. This would give Marzanna an upper hand over Devana, but before Marzanna was able to finish off her rival, Dazbog arrived with Mokosh to break up the fight between the two Goddesses, due to the war being called off. Which Dazbog placed his sword on Marzanna's neck and told them of the news, which spared the life of Devana. Mokosh for her part had helped cure the spell that was casted on Devana. The Baba Yaga would then turn around and return to her hut to the far north in the region of what will eventually be called Belorussia.
Dazbog, the Slavonic God of the Sun and Wealth.
Mokosh, the Slavonic Great Goddess of the Wet Earth, Women's Works (such as Weaving), and the Harvest.
