Bordering the Republic of California, the Independent Sovereignty of Oregon, The Republic of Texas, and the Infinite States of Native America.

Its government is a theocratic democracy. The countries leader is the President of the Mormon Church, currently Elder Gregory Joseph Price.

The Deseret also have a Prime Minister, who serves under the President of the Mormon Church. The position is currently held, by Mitt Romney.

Wells Jaha (Eli Goree) Clarke Griffin's closest and dearest friend. He had a close brush with death in Season 1, Episode 3; but survived to become one of the most well liked characters in the show. He was Clarke's best man at her and Lexa's wedding.

After the chaos of the 2nd American Civil War, the once grand nation of the United States of America, became a house divided against itself, splinted and fractured.
From the ashes of the United States, new nations formed. One such nation formed in what was formerly the North Western United States, consisting of the former states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and everything West of Great Falls Montana. Arcadia.

(Above is the flag of Arcadia). It is located in what was formerly a small town in Portland Oregon, the capital building formerly being a High School where Don Garcia was the gym teacher of. During the chaos of the Civil War, the majority of the town would seek refuge within the school during the firebombing campaigns.

(Arcadia High, sometime before the firebombing campaign). As the days turned into months, and the chaos in the Midwest and East coast worsen, Don Garcia would find himself taking charge of the situation, organising hunting parties and scavengers to raid the abandoned stores for food, water, medical supplies and weaponry.
