Good call.

Did the British ever try to retake their old Caribbean territories during the Second Great War? Also did the United States ever take French Guiana?
I honestly don't remember, its been a while since I read the books and unfortunately I loaned some of the books out to friends and never got them back. :frown:

They took Bermuda back, but I am unsure about the rest of their Caribbean holdings. They might have figured that it would be best to focus more on Europe and go after the US later.

The British retook Bermuda and launched a joint effort with the CSA to retake the Bahamas. The US retook Bermuda in mid-1943 after winning the Battle of the North Atlantic.

They also re-took the Bahamas and liberated Haiti at least from between late-1943 to the end of the war in the of summer 1944. The US was was a pretty busy bee in the Caribbean despite concentrating their efforts on the mainland.

I'm wondering if a chart for various Second Great War barrels similar to this. Meant to show the soldiers what types of medium barrels and mobile artillery to expect.

Yeah they would do this for sure. Both the CSA and USA would make identification sheets like this in the hundreds of thousands I imagine. Not only for identifying enemy tanks and airplanes and picking them out by their silhouettes, but they would likely also do identification sheets for enemy troops and uniforms so that soldiers could recognize what enemy combatants looked like. All of this would have to be compiled by US military intelligence, printed out, and given to soldiers on the front.

Perhaps they would even print them out in creative ways too, not just on posters, fliers, and sheets. I'd have to look, but perhaps they could also make a similar thing for playing cards too - putting enemy aircraft and tanks on playing cards for soldiers to look at. Dual purpose.

Two emperors and a president, with two countries that were on the losing side of WWII suddenly the victors of the Second Great War in TL-191. I'd say this sums up the timeline and how much its changed quite nicely.

Hey, so, what's the likelihood of Irish nationals forming an "Army in Exile" in the United States? In a similar manner as the Poles and French did in Britain during WWII?

Filling the Gaps mentions in its Canada article that the Fenian Raids happened as in OTL, so I gues that sort of counts. If we’re talking about TTL’s Second Great War, I don’t think that really possible. Perhaps there could be one in Germany though.

It would definitely make more sense for the Irish to set up a government in exile in the German Empire instead of crossing the Atlantic to get to the United States.

Okay, same question then. What's the likelihood of an Irish government in exile helping to form an Irish "Army in Exile" in Germany then? Would the German's support that? And are we looking at military units decked out German equipment?

As for why I thought Free Irish units might form in America, I thought it would be a good call back to the Irish Regiments that formed during the Civil War from Irish immigrants.

Does the book describe Jake having red hair. Half the pics here are goebbels the other have him with red hair and I don’t remember him being described being a red head in the book?

No, he has brown hair in the books.

I imagined Featherston to look very similar to Eric Stoltz, except for his red hair.

Goebbels doesn't really look like how I envisioned Featherston. Never really looked someone I envisioned who grew dirt poor in the American South.

My head image is usually a rougher looking version of Gary Sinise. Helps he already played one demagogic southerner.

^^^ --- Republic P3 Colt, "Abe's Avengers" - Entering service in 1938, the Colt was the work-horse of the United States Army Air Corp's fighter squadrons. It went through numerous upgrades and variants throughout the course of the war, making it one of the most reliable fighter designs in the United States' arsenal. Its maximum speed was 330 mph, with a maximum range of 456 miles. Its armament consisted of six .50 cal. MGs, three in each wing. This aircraft belong to a United States ace pilot that operated over the skies of Kentucky in 1943. The squadron he was part of were apparently of the same party affiliation - the Socialist Party. They showed their affiliation to Lincoln's party by displaying his likeliness to the fuselage of their planes.
