Something I've been thinking about for a while...
Wilhemstat IV
Capital of the NeuEuropa Reich
Population: 7:5 Billion
Language: NeuSprache, Deustche, assorted.
Ethnicity: 78% Europan, 5% African 14% East Asian, 3% mixed & other.
First discovered in 2081 by Imperial German deep space probes, during the height of the Great Exo Colonization Rush of the late 21st and early 22nd Century. The planet was soon leased to the Polish, Romanian and Flanders-Wallonian's respective colonization agencies. Followed by extensive terra forming efforts to make the planet suitable for habitation by terran standard organisms. Wilhelmstat would eventually become home to comparatively small but thriving human settlements and growing ecosystem, of transplanted Terran life.
The meager human civilization on the then Neu Gaia would soon collapse, following the final exchange between the power blocks of Earth. When a remote deep space attack drone fire it's pay load of orbital kinetic and thermal nuclear weapons on the unsuspecting planet, plunging into a decades long nuclear winter. By the time that the MittelEuropan "Project Phoenix" evacuation arrived in system generations later the surviving population had devolved to a primitive medieval level of development.
The planets primitive mounted knights and archers were little match for the evacuation fleets armored vehicles and attack helicopters. With Neu Gaia being quicklysubjugated reclaimed by various the MittelEuropan Remnant's forces and re named Wilhemstat in honor of Kaiser Tzar Wilhelm the (???) and commander of the Phoenix fleet.
Afterwards the Phoenix Project crew members, many of whom were European nobles, military leaders, powerful business figures and lead scientists intermarried with the local leadership. While the planet experienced a massive era of modernization and industrialization. Has the leadership of Wilhemstat prepared to lead the planet into a second space age. Eventually culminating into the "Great Reclamation" a century later, has the vast newly forged space fleets and armies of Wilhemstat reclaimed dozens of lost colonies and colonizing new worlds of the old MittelEuropa, in those first decades. Only being halted following first contact with other space capable powers fifty years later. Now Wilhemstat stands has the capitol world of the vast MittelEuropa Reich and military, technological and cultural capital of the Milky way galaxy.

Is it me or is it ironic that the SRI's uniforms look similar to Germany'sItalian soldiers during the Second Weltkrieg (based on Kasierreich version 6.0).

come to think about it the uniform could also be the AUS's uniform in the 2nd American Civil War considering that Germany and Russia (under Kornilov/Savnikov or Wrangel) often support the AUS
I always saw them having Spanish-American and ww1 inspired uniforms.
That and the uniforms are Grey like the Confederates in the civil war
In headcanon a) It's a autonomous state like the former PSA that also holds looser trade restrictions with Japan (blame the Japanese backed Market Liberal lobby) and in b) it is a puppet state in the Co Prosperity Sphere and is a naval base for the US remants and the IJN.
So more on the sci-fi, AAPA inspired setting.

Descended directly from the old MittelEuropa alliance and it's various monarchies NeuEuropa while technically a parliamentary democracy is a heavily autocratic and authoritarian state. Dominated by a massive cult of personality centered around the royal. While the military and various noble families act has there enforcers. Often rule various planets within the Reich on the Kaiser-Tzar's behalf. Their power only being tempered by the wider NeuEuropa government and the various planetary Reichstags.
Economics:
The official economy of NeuEuropa can be described as a twisted mix of capitalism, socialism and Neo-fuedalism. While the Reich proudly proclaims to be a bastion of free market enterprise and opportunity. Much of the economy is owned by various noble families & aristocrats. Many of whom can trace their families lineage back centuries or even a millennium. While the various local governments use planned economic models and public work programs to boost the economy. Often with the use of massed forced labor.

Ramon Mercader, the Spanish-Mexican communist and attempted assassin of Mexican Syndicalist President Emiliano Zapata, photographed in 1950 after spending the last fourteen years in a prison in Mexico City. Mercader, who tried to assassinate Zapata in response to his suppression of orthodox Marxists, Marxist-Leninists, Bolshevists and Trotskyists within Mexico, died in 1970 after being in ill health for several years. On the orders of the ageing President Toledano, he was cremated and his ashes were scattered over the Atlantic Ocean near Veracruz.
I always thought that this event was kinda odd. It's not like a Spaniard Mercarder without NKVD support would have opportunities or even motivation to assassinate a Mexican President.

AUS Minutemen (the uniforms would be light grey in order to represent it's Confederate Past)
People's Liberation Army (CSA) (replace the Soviet helmet with the French Adrian helmet)
Red Partisans (CSA) (Uniforms may vary)

Earl Browder, former leader of the Communist, Marxist-Leninist and later Centralist and Totalist wings of the Radical Socialist and Syndicalist movements of the United States of America and later the Combined States of America, photographed at his home outside of Princeton, New Jersey in 1970 at the age of 79. After the defeat of the CSA in the Second American Civil War, Browder fled by a private plane to Mexico City, where he lived for several years. He eventually returned to the USA in 1961 after re-pledging loyalty to the United States government. While no longer a Communist, Syndicalist or Marxist, he still identified as a Socialist throughout the last years of his life, although after his return to the United States he never again engaged in any political activity. Browder died in Princeton New Jersey on October 27, 1972 at the age of 81.
