WIP Map Thread

Wow... well at least he makes a perfect candidate for creating Seth Efricka Doon Indah.

Considering how South Africa is ITTL... waaaay behind that level.

Jesus...

I mean, the craziest thing about Sir Joh is that he never got jail time for essentially turning the police into a proto-SS and getting cash from Japanese billionaires.

This madman ran my state like it was his own personal Rhodesia...

Wait... WE'VE COME FULL CIRCLE.

"He condemned the use of Australian foreign aid to prop up communist regimes, urged Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser to stop criticising the governments of South Africa and Rhodesia and from 1977 proposed Queensland secede from Australia and establish its own currency. He also accused political opponents of being covert communists bent on anarchy, observing: "I have always found ... you can campaign on anything you like but nothing is more effective than communism ... If he's a Labor man, he's a socialist and a very dangerous man.""

The only thing I'd support is the secession of the state of Queensland should we ever become an eeeevil Republic. :p

A WIP of an idea I had that'll probably never be finished. Following ASB Catalonia and Switzerland wanks, the two enter a Cold War.

Catalonia-Portugal, South-Canada, Germany-Ottoman-India swap.png

Here's another WIP I had for an idea also featuring Catalonia. Initially, all I was doing was swapping Greater Catalonia and Portugal, but then I added a swap of the American South and Lower Canada, and it just continued from there until it became this. I'm still not sure how I'll explain it if this ever makes it onto the map thread.

Well, I've started work on a new map. As to the POD? Well... let's say dropping nukes on Nam wasn't exactly Johnson's brightest idea...
Very rough outline of TL so far:

1968 - POD: The Vietcong does much better during the Tet offensive. Amid the chaos, President Johnson authorizes use of low-yield tactical nukes on the Ho Chi Minh trail. The reprecussions of this decision dramatically alters the course of history.

- May '68 goes awry as riots break out in Paris. Attempts by riot poljce to suppress them lead to a couple dozen deaths, followed by an escaltion of the crisis as similar incidents break out in several other French Cities. President De Gaulle declares a state of emergency.

- Meanwhile in Northern Ireland, a series of riots between Nationalists and Loyalists culiminates in an early Bloody Sunday. Several bombings and shootings are commited by both sides as the situation in Belfast goes FUBAR.

- No candidate wins the electoral vote in the US elections (thanks to the nuking of Vietnam and George Wallace). The future POTUS will now be elected by the House of Representatives*

...

*to which I am not sure who it will be. Nixon or Humphrey? (Wallace sounds like a nice way to screw things up, but its way too early to stretch plausibility that far).

Still trying to think up of the rest (and finish off the map, currently 40-50% done)

Yep! Plus some American tourists who were stuck in Mexico at the time.

The project didn't last long... All that's left is a rump Confederado state. :(
Fear not my fellow racist alt-right Rhodesian sympathizer scumbag

THE SOUTH SHALL RISE AGAIN! (again)

Dude. Be VERY careful with the above statement. I know you're taking the piss, but some people aren't in on the jokes and it might start another shit show.

That's the most beautiful statue I've ever seen!:love::love:

The big blue motherfucker is a stronk af Central America. :)

Truly it is, one only needs to take a close look at the brave horseman's face to truly grasp the excellent craftsmanship put into it.

The attention to detail is beyond exquisite. You can feel the sorrow and agony of this noble Southerner, his horrible realization that he is fighting for an honourable but Lost Cause. Truly a great work of art - it belongs in a museum.

An artists impression of Robert E. Lee's face after he realises that he must fight for the CSA, lest he fight his fellow Virginians. 1860's. Colourised.

But... that's Nathan Beford Forrest.

It's not like I'm an expert in the CSA... That should be an established fact by now. ;)

I can only imagine the thought process that was going through the head of the guy who created it...

"Let's give him the face that results from staring at Cthulhu for waaaayyy too long..."

I'm more fascinated by the COMPLETELY GOLDEN HORSE
