Peking, 1939: Soldiers from the Qing Empire's elite 'Xin Jun' (New Army) division, marching in front of Tiananmen Square during the Chinese New Years day military parade.
Besides perhaps Emperor Puyi's Imperial Guard, The 'Xin Jun' was the Qing army's most elite combat unit, being trained by the Germany military mission sent to the country under the Kaiser's orders, and, unlike the rest of the Qing military, armed with top-of-the-line weapons and equipment purchased from Germany.

Something less serious this time, but an idea that have been on my mind for sometime now that I have originally wanted to share on the KR Hetalia page. But here seems to be more suitable:

The HHH is a German fast casual restaurant chain with it's headquarters at the Imperial state of Latvia, in the former United Baltic Duchy. It was originally founded in 1939, by the famous eccentric farming tycoon Heinrich Himmler, during the height of the Second Weltkrieg.
Due to Himmler's refusal to employ the latest intensive, factory farming techniques to increase meat production to meet the required demand, insisting on only using his trademarked 'Blood and Soil' organic farming methods, his farms failed to win the government contract to supply the Deutsches Heer, putting his business into a financially difficult situation.
However, during the war, thousands of refugees from the eastern parts of Germany fled to the UBD in order to escape from the vicious fighting against the French Communards. Himmler, a fervent Pan-German nationalists, saw this as an opportunity to both make a profit from the refugees, and to help them fulfil their 'sacred duty' to colonize these former Slavic lands: By opening a cheap restaurant chain that gives the German refugees both an employment opportunities with low skill requirements, and an affordable source of good quality food.
The HHH was a complete success, and by the end of the war in 1942, while many refugees choose to return to Germany (Much to Himmler's disappointment), the traditionally pork eating Germans took their taste for the 'Chicken Master Race' with them. It didn't took long for the restaurant chain quickly started franchising, and spread throughout Germany and beyond.
Today, it is difficult to find a major city in the developed world that doesn't have at lease one HHH franchise, which, in typical Germany business fashion, often appear and promptly 'colonize' the market and put other nearby local restaurants out of business though it's cheaper products and a flood of intense advertising. With it's iconic products, such as the 'Chicken Schnitzel Classic', the 'Goldbroiler Delight' (Roasted chicken with paprika sour sauce) being recognized globally. But the most notable part of the HHH advertising campaign will be their mascot, the 'Grand Master': A sword-weiding, armor-wearing knight from the Teutonic Order, being seen as a symbol of the German Empire's economic and cultural dominance worldwide.
The HHH company was not without it's controversies, however, mostly surrounding it's founder, the 'Master of German Kitchen', Heinrich Himmler. Himmler was politically active throughout his life, with him openly supporting the far-right Alldeutsche Verband (AV) party, and was one of the party's key financial backers until his death in 1980. The HHH restaurants also once providing free food to the participants in an anti-Semetic rally, and was known to donate to a number of right-wing organizations that the social-democratic SDP classified as 'racist hate groups'.
In addition, Himmler himself was rumoured to engage in 'bizarre occult rituals' while attending events hosted by the Theosophic Society that he founded later on in his life. The HHH company officially refused to comment on these rumours on their founder.

German prisoner of war captured during Operation Yaroslavl, Boris Savinkov's invasion of Mitteleuropa, in 1941. POWs like this man would be sent to slave labor camps by the National Populist regime, which dehumanized Germans, Jews, Muslims, and even some fellow Slavs such as Poles and Czechs, who were viewed as traitors to the Master Race.
The dropping of the first nuclear bomb ever on Smolensk, 1945. Despite Russia's advance being turned back in the Miracle on the Vistula in 1942, and despite its disastrous defeat in the Battle of Koenigsberg in 1943, it still held out, and, after 2 grueling years of slow counteroffensive, the forces of Mitteleuropa(even bolstered by a small American Expeditionary force; Syndicalist opposition to the Savinkov regime was after all a key element of the Second Peace With Honor) had only managed to push back to the prewar border. The atomic bombing of Smolensk resulted in a coup against Savinkov by Marshals Wrangel, Zhukov, and Rossokovsky, and the unconditional surrender of the Russian state. However, Savinkov loyalist holdouts in Siberia would only be totally defeated by the forces of the revived Romanovs in 1948.
Interesting to note the combination of Stahlhelm,German-style uniform with the America First eagle insignia and Russian PP-36 submachine-gun,both the German Empire and Savinkov's Russian State have shared interest to prevent syndicalism taking root in the Americas.

The desicion of several leading Army commanders not to execute their orders to put down the London and Glasgow riots at all costs destroyed what little hold the TUC still had over the country, leading to a short period of fighting when those same units stormed the Government district in London. As promised and under the eyes of the League of Nations, the Republic of Great Britain transitioned to a democratic system by 2000 and is today a fairly content member of the European Common Market. Their relations with most countries are good. Relations with the Indian Empire used to be complicated especially before the House of Windsor dropped all claims to the old United Kingdom and recognized their non-membership in the Commonwealth after the 1999 referendum.
OOC: India is a Peshawar Lancers type of Empire, ie. Most of the British Raj, with British trappings and a Royal Family that has begun to absorb into the local population.

A railroad being rebuilt in Dallas.Many cities in the South suffered heavy battles.In the case of Dallas,it was fought three times-between the Federals and the AUS,the AUS and the CSA,and the CSA and the Federals.The Second Reconstruction was used by the Syndicalist administration to break the backs of the remaining "reactionaries" by introducing desegregation policies and industrialization,however the resultant war with Canada would delay its completion until the late 1940s.
