Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

So how'd I do for the SGW union army?

The officers are good but the infantry and especially the tank commander uniforms are too European. If US uniforms were to resemble anything they'd resemble German uniforms, not the Hungarians. Except they'd have more American touches to them such as the weapons.

I keep thinking that we interested parties ought to club together, work out some guidelines for a suitably-talented artist (or artists) and then commission them to draw up US & Confederate Uniforms from the Second Mexican War to the Second Great War - Army, Navy, Air Force and whatever else we wish to see.

I don't suppose anyone else has deep pockets and working experience of KickStarter?

Ok so here's my takeaway of US uniforms in SGW:

This is a digital illustration I found of dress uniforms for officers and enlisted men. The only changes I'd make would be making the officers uniform the same green-gray color as the enlisted mans. As well, make the helmet the color of the M1 helmet.

This is what I envision for field uniforms. The obvious changes would be replace the German weaponry with American, like the Springfield, the Thompson, the .30 cal, etc. And replace German insignia with American.

I like what you did, but i thought only the Freedom Party Guard unit wore camouflage uniforms during the Second Great War?

I figures US officers during the Great War would still be using Union blue or Green blue uniforms.

Also does anyone else think the Union police would be wearing pickelhaube's with their uniforms? Maybe with an engraved three headed eagle.

Actually you're right. I'm thinking you'd replace the camo with the green-gray color. To be honest I actually envision US field uniforms as being like that of the Marines in WWII except replace the M! with the Coalscuttle.

Above is the cover art of the Japanese animated series, "Girls Und Barrel". This series features the characters participated in a sport called "Barrelery", which as you guessed, is a sport involving barrels, against other schools. Each school is based on different countries involved in the Second Great War such as Tsarist Russia, the German Empire, Austria-Hungary, Great Britain, the United States, and, controversially, the Confederate States, use the Barrels of said countries. This series has garnered some accusations of promoting Freedomism due to a lot of focus on a character that comes from a Confederate States themed school.

This recovered photograph was featured in National Geographic's famous article, "The Featherston Files". The battery is confirmed by former Freedom Party members, members of the Confederate President staff, and Great War veterans to be the same battery of the First Richmond Howitzers that Featherston (soldier in the foreground with head his turned away from the camera) commanded during the First Great War. This photo was taken at the Battle of Round Hill in 1917 before a gas attack, the same battle where Featherston ordered retreating colored soldiers to be fired upon, something that wouldn't be fully known till after the fall of the C.S.A.

(Note: I would've made the man to the left Alexander McGregor but he seemed a little too old to be him.)

Justin-Trudeau.jpg

Governor Justin Trudeau of the State of Ontario (State flag to the right) during a campaign tour to gain the Socialist nomination for President of the United States during the Election of 2016. Much like Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Alberta, Trudeau is one of the most well known Canadians to run for President. He would later show his support for Candidate Bernie Sanders of Vermont against the Democratic Candidate Donald Trump. Not only is Trudeau a well known member of the Socialist party, is also a vocal advocate for Canadian independence. He would later lead a large smear campaign against President Trump for his hard line policies against Canadian independence movements (terrorists) and refusal to take in "refugees" from the former Ottoman Empire.

Three Black Soldiers in the Confederate Army, dated 1917, armed with Confederate copies of the British Pattern 1914 Enfield, called the Enfield 1917, and were made by the Tredegar Company as a last ditch weapon, hence it being such a rare weapon. These three would later be sent to Camp Determination during the Freedomite Regime. Only one (the center man) would survive the Population Reduction.

Funnily enough, I actually have my own ideas on Trump (former pro golfer) and Japanese cartoons ("Japanimation" sets up in Britain, the US and Europe following exoduses from the Japanese Worker's republic; with Case Closed/Detective Conan being made and set in London and Studio Ghibli locating to Southampton)

Interesting. Also, how does Japan become Communist exactly? I haven't kept up with this thread as much as I wanted to.

If I remember correctly, Japan was split between North and South after the Fourth Pacific War. The northern half fell under a communist regime while the south was not. I can't remember the detail so I would have to look it up.
