Hey, how you you get the longer infoboxes (for Prime Ministers and such, people that had many government positions) to fit without being so blurry?

I can zoom my screen out to see the whole infobox and screenshot it, but it then turns out to be too tiny for use and blurry if you try to enlarge it....

Just use the snip tool to take multiple screenshots, and then stitch them together in photoshop/gimp/paint.net

My final take on the Spanish aspect of Our Father's Stars by Machineking:

Infobox ELPC.png

The second most important terrorist organization in Spain, the ELPC was born out of the frustration and disappointment that came with the stagnation of the independence Process in Catalonia, making the most conscientous crowd to favour direct action, something unseen since the times of Terra Lliure. Though the Spanish State is its main enemy, its bombings, kidnappings, extortions and acts of cybernetic sabotage are mostly directed towards inner "traitors", mostly RSC or non-Nationalist Catalan politicians, as well as Valencian and Balearic political figures that they feel they promote those communities' detachment from their Pancatalanist ideal.

Most Catalan society, including most Independentists, condemn the ELPC's actions, and they could have well been another factor that contributed to the exhaustion of the Independentist cause. Still, a small but mobilized minority gives them support and coverage, which gives them fresh air and capability to carry their campaigns.

Infobox Batallones del Agua.png

The main and most ruthless Spanish terrorist organization, with its main recruitment area in the drought-affected areas of Eastern Andalusia, Murcia and Alicante. They demand a new water consensus that includes the full constitutional recognition of water rights, interterritorial solidarity, Reclamation as a priority and, ultimately, the connection and socialization of all the Spanish water basins. Their favorite method is the blowup of buildings and infrastructure, as well as eco-terrorist tactics, and their body count and their social cost is very high and it only increases as time goes by. In the Spanish southeast they enjoy, if not majority support, at least a worrying aura of respectability.

The Decider is a 2001 American science fiction action film directed by Karl Christian, and starring Walker Bush, Mel Martinez, and Lan Chao. It is the second collaboration between Walker Bush and Karl Christian, and the first time Walker Bush starred in a dual role. Though it was released in January, typically a time for 'dumping' films considered otherwise unlikely to achieve commercial success, The Decider was a financial success and received mixed-to-positive reviews from critics, spawning a number of sequels and reinvigorating Walker Bush's flagging career.

FBI Special Agent Dirk Hammer (Bush) has spent three years chasing down a serial killer in a truly bizarre case - each victim that is found dead can be matched to a still-living person, with no knowledge of their apparent twin. The case finally comes to a head when the latest victim proves to be the double of the Vice President of the United States. Hammer is brought in, however, because cutting-edge DNA analysis has marked him as the Vice President's killer, despite the fact that Hammer was thousands of miles away at the time of death. The national security implications of the case now established, Hammer is brought into a secret government operation by CIA Deputy Director Robert Church (Rob Bolton) - Project WONDERLAND, a naturally-manifesting dimensional phenomenon, linking to an alternate reality.

In the Wonderland reality, the United States has succumbed to a totalitarian regime ruled over by the President, an absolute dictator known as 'The Decider.' The CIA's top operative, Susan Park (Chao), informs Hammer the killer may be from this alternate reality, dumping his victims in ours to avoid detection. Hammer agrees to accompany her to the Wonderland reality's Washington DC to apprehend the killer, and they are transported there through a dimensional rift, to be retrieved in 48 hours. Things swiftly go awry when they are captured at a random security checkpoint by black-uniformed National Security Police. Park is able to bluff their way out of arrest and summary execution after convincing the NSP to scan Hammer's DNA, but refuses to explain to Hammer why this worked. Shortly thereafter, a city-wide security alert goes into effect and NSP Chief Marshal Keith (Southerland) launches a pursuit of the pair.

Hammer and Park reach the Wonderland-side address where the Vice President's body was found, finding a bombed-out slum district populated by social cast-offs and other undesirables of the new regime. Disgraced and blind ex-Congressman Jason Fox (Martinez) helps Hammer and Park avoid notice by a local gang by letting them into his derelict nuclear survival bunker, and tells them that the bodies of those eliminated by the government are often left scattered around the city, as a final insult and to further intimidate the populace. Fox fills them in on more of this history of Wonderland - a world-wide oil shortage sparked a global nuclear war, causing widespread famine and and devastation, weakening the United States to the point that a coup from within toppled the civilian government and instituted an absolute dictatorship, which invaded and annexed many of the remaining resource-rich countries. Southerland and the NSP attack the slum district, crushing the gangs' ineffectual resistance, and Fox sacrifices himself to buy time for Hammer and Park to escape into the disused DC Metro tunnels.

In the tunnels, they are about to be set upon by another gang, but when Hammer lights a magnesium flare to ignite a pool of leaking oil, his face is revealed, and the gang flees in terror. Taking refuge in a subway car refitted as an underground house, Hammer again presses Park for an explanation, but she deflects his inquiries with a romantic interlude. Southerland then floods the tunnels with water diverted from the Potomac, and they are forced to escape through a locked access shaft. They emerge into a secret train station built to evacuate government officials during the Cold War, and are captured by the Wonderland CIA Deputy Director, a heavily-scarred Robert Church (Bolton). Church finally reveals the truth to Hammer - his double in this reality is The Decider, and Church plans to use Hammer as his puppet to maintain order after assassinating the President. Park is revealed to have been a part of this plot from the beginning, delivering Hammer to Wonderland to gain favor with the new Church regime and establish peaceful relations between the two realities.

Left alone in a cell, Hammer is able to stage an escape with the aid of a carelessly-discarded knife and arrives in White House just in time to prevent the murder of his counterpart in a climactic cat-and-mouse gun-battle against Church's assassin, Linda Corvus (Meghan O'Sullivan). Hammer is able to defeat Corvus because she is the Wonderland version of a spree killer he arrested at the beginning of his FBI career, but this earns him no love from The Decider, who orders his execution when Southerland arrives to counter-act Church's attempted coup, and a battle breaks out between the NSP and CIA forces. Hammer and The Decider face off in a violent hand-to-hand martial arts battle, culminating on the roof of the now-burning White House. As a helicopter approaches, The Decider is trapped against the edge of the roof, and Hammer demands his surrender. The helicopter opens fire on them, revealing itself to be part of the CIA coup, and The Decider tells Hammer that they're dead either way, and makes the final decision - to go out on his own terms by leaping into the blazing inferno of the Rose Garden.

Hammer is able to leap aboard the helicopter when it makes a low pass over the roof, and overpower the crew, including Park. They swiftly reconcile when she expresses her love and reveals she left the knife in his cell, and they fly off to an uncertain future as the White House explodes behind them.

Most of these people are real people who were involved in the Bush administration, though they're obviously very different people here.

Except Boots Southerland.

But come on, with that name, he could be anything.

How about the young Confederate soldier turned Georgia Senator who supported the gold standard and was against railroad legislation?

This post ended up being a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but thanks must go to @Turquoise Blue who helped me make sense of my ramblings about the ALT Canadian political situation, and @CanadianTory for letting me bounce ideas off of him (again)! This is the revamped version of Canada from Hail, Britannia - I hope you like it:

----

The Dominion of the Canada is a constituent country of the United Kingdom located in the northern half of Britain-in-America on the North American continent. Its eight provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic in the east to the Pacific in the west and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 10.6 million square kilometres (4.09 million square miles), making it the largest British Home Nation by area. Canada borders Oregon in the southwest, Missouri, the Great Lakes and Ohio in the south, Columbia and New England in the southeast, and Newfoundland in the east.

Inhabited for millenia by Aboriginal peoples, much of the territory that makes up Canada today was gradually claimed by the English (later British) and French colonial empires beginning in the 15th and 16th centuries, although Alaska was colonised by the Russian Empire much later in the 18th century. Much of the inland territory which now makes up the prarie provinces was part of the territory of Rupert's Land, with the St. Lawrence valley being part of the French colony of Canada. Britain gained undispute control of the entirety of modern Eastern and Central Canada after conquering New France in the French and Indian War (1754-1763), reorganising the territory as the Province of Quebec.

The Quebec Act of 1774, which expanded the province's borders to include all of modern Quebec, Labrador, Ontario and Ohio, was viewed unfavourably by colonists in the Thirteen Colonies, who sent delegates to the Philadelphia Congress to oppose it and the other Intolerable Acts. The Petition to the King, drafted by the Congress, successfully persuaded King George III and the British Parliament to revoke the acts and returned Quebec's borders to their pre-1774 borders, opening the Northwest Territory (modern Ohio) for settlement. Quebec joined the Colonial Congress in 1776 before being split into Upper and Lower Canada in 1791, to separate the Anglophone west from the Francophone east. The Rebellions of 1837, part of the Emancipation Crisis (1834-1839), led to both provinces being merged into the United Canadas in 1841.

Canada was formed as a dominion on 1 July 1867, when the governing structure of the United Canadas was reorganised to create a federal structure between the two provinces. Since then Canada has expanded across the northern part of North America and in the 21st century Canada is one of the most developed parts of the UK, with the fourth largest economy and the third highest nominal per capita income.

The 2015 Canadian federal election was held on 13 July 2015 to elect under the instant run-off voting system the 284 members of the House of Commons of Canada. The centre/centre-left United Democratic Federation, led by Liberal Party leader Gerard Kennedy, won 143 seats allowing it to form a (slim) majority government, whilst the centre-right Canadian Alliance, under Reform Party leader, and incumbent First Minister, Stephen Harper lost 67 seats, the worst loss suffered by a political party since the PC collapse in 2002. The Commonwealth Party, under new leader Isaac Taylor-Brock (yes those Taylor-Brocks!), outperformed expectations with some pundits on election night predicting them as the largest party in the House.

The Progressive Conservatives under long time leader Jim Prentice doubled their seats, largely at the expense of Reform in Ontario and Quebec. The nationalist Bloc Québécois and Yedinaya Alyaska ("United Alaska") both lost seats, widely attributed to the generational lull in support for separation, although the increasingly separatist Wildrose Party in Alberta did gain a seat. The UDF-affiliated Progressives and the non-aligned Greens both marginally increased their popular vote, although only the Progressives were able to translate this into seat gains.

The United Democratic Federation, the Canadian Alliance, and the Progressive Conservative Party are the three largest "parties" in Canadian politics with all three having emerged in the 1940s and dominated the political scene in Canada throughout the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Although all three are classified as political parties, the UDF and the Canadian Alliance are in fact broad-tent alliances of federal and provincial parties on the left and right of the spectrum respectively. The UDF, currently the largest party in the Commons, traces its origins to the Liberal split in 1876 over imperial federation and the subsequent Lib-Lab agreement which existed throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries before the Liberals, Commonwealth (successors to Labour) and the Progressives formed the UDF in 1945.

The Alliance was formed as an electoral alliance between the National Party, factions of the Conservative Party, and Social Credit in 1941. The former two had split from the main Conservative Party over William Howard Hearst's handling of the Alaskan Uprising. Although none of the original parties still exist at a federal level, the Alliance continues to dominate the right of Canadian politics in the form of the Reform party, which displaced Social Credit after it collapsed at the 2007 election. The PCs have largely taken the role of third-party in Canada, occassionally forming governments under John Diefenbaker (1950-58), Joe Clark (1976-80) and Jean Charest (1998-2002) although they have seen a resurgence in support in recent years as Reform shifts to the right and lets it's dominance slip.

The Alaskan Uprising, or the Communist Revolution in Alaska, was a uprising that took place primarily in Alaska between July 1917 and February 1918 against the British and Canadian governments. Although the uprising primarily involved Alaskan communists, socialist, republican and other anarchist groups took the opportunity to rise up. The aim of the uprising was to break away from the British government and institute a communist government in Alaska, with the goal of seeking support from the Russi.

Beginning at a time when the British military and much of the Royal National Guard were distracted by the First World War, specifically the American Theatre, the rebels were able to gain control in several cities including Vasilya and Novoarkhangelsk, forcing the Alaskan provincial government to flee into exile in the town of Prince Rupert. With the winding down of hostilities on the Mexican Front in October 1917, Britain was able to redeploy its forces to deal with the uprising, spending the next five months engaged in urban combat on the streets of many of Alaska's cities, as well as Russian settlements in northern Oregon. The uprising is generally considered to have ended on 3 February 1918 when the surviving leadershp of the Alaska Communists surrendered in Vasilya, after members of the British Corps of Royal Rangers infiltrated the city and assassinated Igor Petrov and Krzysztof Racz two days prior, both men having been the leaders of the communst movement.

The Alaskan Uprising led to communist organisations in the United Kingdom being made illegal, the province of Alaska was placed under martial law until 1931, with limited responsible government, whilst the government of William H. Hearst declared a state of emergency in Canada which lasted until 1919. His controversial actions in response to the uprising, as well as the questionable legality of postponing the 1917 election, led to the split of the Conservative Party and the collapse of the Hearst Government at the 1919 election.

North American French is the various varieties of the French langauge spoken in North America, particularly the Canadian province of Quebec and the Louisianian state of Acadiana, where French-speakers make up the majority of the population. In 2011 the total number of individuals who spoke French as their first language was approximately 13.3 million, with another 7 million reporting it as a second language. At the federal level in Canada it has co-official status alongside English and Russian, in Louisiana it has co-official status with English, and in New England it is a recognised naional language. Ohio, Missouri and the Republic of Texas all recognise French as a minority language. At the provincial level of government French is the sole official language in Quebec and Acadiana, is co-official with English in Maine, New Hampshire, and New Orleans, and is co-official with English and Gaelic in New Brunswick.

I'll be honest, a big part of me really wants to live in that world. It's just so awesome.

You know this is really one of the great TL's in the website's history. Every time there is a new post it gets a little bit bigger and better. Can't wait to see the next update!

@LeinadB93, I weep for I have but one like to give.

Thanks :D

Me too CT!! I have to say that Hail, Britannia is kind of my ideal world - to the point where I sometimes confuse it for reality!!

It's a real labour of love and I'm glad people are enjoying it!!

Really nice set of boxes!

It does kinda bug me that butterflies aren't applied to individuals and ideologies, but I can suspend my disbelief for some cool infoboxes.

Excellent, as always, Leinad.

I can't wait until you get to the South.

PM me if you want any suggestions.
One of the ideas we fired around was for the Virginia dominion to have a socially-conservative Labor Party strong in Kentucky and the OTL West Virginia region.

Another was for Labor in Louisiana to be Huey Long-esque and distrusted by even the federal SDP. @LeinadB93 can chide me if he didn't want those to be made public.

But the South is honestly the area we thought about the least, because neither of us has a strong grasp of Southern politics. Your advice would be invaluable.

Natural Law Group of the Sovereign Authority

LFQGpak.png

The Sovereign Authority was a loose affiliation of sovereign citizen and white nationalist terrorist groups that organized in the mid '20s, and carried out dozens of attacks throughout the '30s. The Authority's crimes included car bombings, mass shootings, robberies, assassinations of police and civil servants, and arson. Unlike some large far-right militia and revolutionary organizations, the Sovereign Authority did not choose to affiliate with the Revolutionary Alliance, and most at-large members of the Authority laid low during the May 31st Rebellion. Following the Rebellion, splits emerged regarding the future of the organization. Some cells sought to continue the traditional methodology and ideology of the movement, seeking to disrupt the Federal government's attempts to collect taxes and otherwise govern "sovereign citizens" and enclavist communities. Others saw the enclave movement as a corpse, and sought to expand the organization's horizons, directly striking at the sources of "tyranny" and "social cancer." The Authority splintered in the mid '40s. While many of its splinters claimed the name, there was no longer any communication channels between the groups making up the front.

The Natural Law Group was one of these splinters. The primary focus of the NLG is "gender colonization," the idea that teaching LGBT equality and the nature of gender identity has eroded Christian and western values. The primary activity of the NLG is Infoterrorism. Infoterrorism can be seen as an advanced application of the idea of stochastic terrorism, the idea that mass communication can be used to incite statistically probable but individual unpredictable acts of violence. While stochastic terrorism relies on mass propaganda, infoterrorim focuses on subtly manipulating at-risk individuals. Infoterrorists operate by using stolen records to pick a mark. Using the mark's personal information, the infoterrorist will hack the mark's digital accounts and contaminate their metadata records, allowing the infoterrorist a great deal of control over what the mark will see through targeted ads and search results. While the process can take months, if not years, this manipulation can build resentment and hate in the mark against the infoterrorist's targets, leading to a violent attack. While the method is not always effective, with most marks resisting the manipulation or prematurely triggering, leading to reduced efficiency, a single infoterrorist can handle dozens of marks at once. Infoterrorist methods can also be used to encourage suicidal ideation in marks, or to encourage marks to make browsing decisions that open up their identity or financial information to theft.
