Very cool. So I'm seeing communist governments in Alaska, Northern Canada, and Quebec, and some sort of capitalist government in Eastern Siberia- how did that come about? Also unified western Europe- some sort of EU?
Alaska is the Alayska SSR. The Soviets gained control of Alaska in World War 4's conventional stage, and after years of abuse by oil barons, corporations using it to dump toxic waste, and the US army constantly passing through and causing trouble, the Soviets were actually greeted as liberators by the Alaskans. They full-heartedly embraced Communism, but after World War 4 went hot, the Moscow government took Communism in a totally different direction. The Alayskans seceded, but they still remained allied to Moscow.

Northern Canada is the People's Republic of Nunavut, an Inuit-dominated republic which joined the Soviets for similar reasons to the Alayskans, but was never formally incorporated.

The Laurentine People's Republic was established in the post-apocalyptic landscape of Quebec by Quebecois radicals.

The capitalist government in Western Siberia is the Far Eastern Republic, formed by Mongols who broke off of the USSR after World War 4. They're led by an American deserter who claims to be the living re-incarnation of von Ungern-Sternberg. Using a mixture of cavalry and Japanese vehicles and arms, they've proved an effective thorn in the side of the Soviets, and are competing in a great-game of their own with the Japanese for influence with the Chinese Warlords.

The Atom-Kings are American mutineers. During World War 4, it was the Americans who first ordered the use of a non-tactical nuke, because Russian troops were winning and had made it so far through Canada. Most of the silo commanders refused to initiate Armageddon when the US could just hang up its hat and admit defeat. After the war, these silos got hit extremely hard by bombs, and the radiation has isolated them from the outside world. They formed fiefs, centered around their missiles; some were scrapped, others rigged into a nuclear reactor, but most are used to threaten one another and hold the rest of the world hostage. They demand large tributes from the US and the Soviets every year to keep themselves functioning. Since ICBMs are banned/ lost, if either side were to gain control of the Lands of the Atom-Kings, they could win the war.

Predominantly Native Alaskans, I presume. Since most non-native Alaskans would be employed by the oil barons or associated economic positions (selling food to oil workers, miners).

Why Laurentine, instead of Canadian? Just curious.

So he claims to be the reincarnation of the reincarnation of Genghis Khan?:p

I like this.:)

It's not done. I'm just reviving it to get in the last decade or so.

We shall.

The US has shrugged and celebrated commodity prices going up. Communism suffering is a good thing in their books.
Australia is disappointed that Red India didn't nuke Mecca and get the ensuing massive Muslim backlash. Still, it took pressure of them now that India has to rebuild, so that's a plus.

Ok, so what happened to PNG, I noticed it was natural.

A bit of a WIP that I have going on- China isn't done yet. The whole thing should be finished by next week;

Yes

Papua-New Guinea. The island just north of Australia.

Okay. And did you mean 'neutral'?

If so, they dropped communism as it was kind of forced by Jakarta which didn't really have much influence while trying to restructure without American money. Several African communist states also reformed themselves out of communism (and typically into rather corrupt capitalism with lots of state intervention). India just didn't have the money to throw around the USSA had had, and without a need to fight a Word War against the USSA decided to slide more into a 'fix communism in one country' system.

They aren't set on a longitude, just running diagonally.
If they're running diagonally at this specific projection, then they'd look like oddly curved lines on an equirectangular projection, a globe, or basically any projection that isn't the exact same as the Worlda centered on that point.

Hi guys, can I request an Italian Confederation on this map, essentially comprising the Italian peninsula including Lombardy-Venetia, Sardinia-Piedmont and the Two Sicilies? It would look similar to the red-outlined German Confederation. Could I have the Italian Confederation indicator marked on the index in the upper-right corner too?

Thanks.
