In 1982, it was a closely guarded secret that Britain actually had a third aircraft carrier to put into play against Argentina. However, to get her into play would mean the use of unorthodox means to cover the 8,000-mile journey south...

Purported to be the last-known sighting of HMS Ark Royal:

Since I can't edit my prior post...

Another black-and-white photo during the military parade and mass rally in April, 6288. (Yes, it's just a cheaply and hastily edited snapshot from Triumph of the Will. :p)

This picture shows the arranged masses of Wehrmacht infantry and Stormguard footmen as they stand at attention before. A triple set of the CGU national flag, affectionately termed the Erdefahne, or "Earth-flag", sits in the background. Although, the official speech on the public declaration of War does not occur until later that night. The vast parade and marches last all through the day and on into the evening, until the midnight speech by Maximilian.
The saluting figures in the foreground are five leading figure in the CGU government: Dictator-Führer and Reichskanzler Maximilian von Compton, First Lord of the Reichstag, President of the Senate, the founder and first absolute sovereign of the CGU; Deputy-Führer Eta Rycon, Prime Minister, Minister of Communication, Foreign-Minister, and Postmaster-General, the second-in-command and designated heir; Reichsführer-SG Frederick Voss, the leader of the Stormguard paramilitary and security forces, Reichsminister of Justice and Reichsminister of the Interior, who controls the entire security network and judicial system in the CGU; Reichsmarschall Rudolph Lanning, Reichsminister of War, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht, who is the seniormost military commander in the Union; and Sir Richard Joseph Wilson, KCB, KIC, Reichsminister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda, and editor-in-chief of Time-Warner, which by the 6200s a state-owned media corporation.

Now, this one's not much of a photo, but more of a picture that follows up the edited photos I made. It's necessary to post this pic before I post the last picture of the series.

The continuing march on the evening of April 27, 6288.

As the rally extends into the night, it turns into a torchlight parade down the streets of Munich, as the columns of Stormguard troops march to assemble on the Volksplatz.
As the SG march along the streets, they sing the marching-song of the SG, set to a long-forgotten middle-ages (early 20th century) tune:
Die Fahne Hoch!
Reih'n gestalten in verschlossen!
Sturmgarde marschiert
Mit rutig festem schritt!

Kam'raden die Fremden und Ausland'r erschossen
Marschier'n im Geist in unsern Reihen mit!
