And the 2020 election:

attachment.php

President Kent was narrowly reelected despite everything going for him. Many people say that Parker's personal popularity was nearly enough to conquer everything going against him.

^ This right here. Go Set A Watchmen should've never been published, imo, which is why I shall never read it.
I went to Barnes & Nobles the other day. I saw Go Set a Watchmen on the bookshelf and was conflicted on whether I should buy it or not. I decided not to, since I want to own To Kill A Mockingbird before I read the new one.

Anyways, any thoughts on the infoboxes? I just noticed a mistake with the 2016 one, which lists "2016" as the previous election instead of 2012 like it should.

So, as of now, all my wikiboxes for Our Fathers' Stars: The World of 2068 C.E. will be indexed in said thread.

The One China party is one of the many minor parties to emerge in China following De-Communization and the opening of Chinese political space. The party is considered nativist, and opposed to immigration and the opening of refugee centers in the PRC. Unification is another contention for the party, and One China has been on the record in support of bringing Taiwan and Hong Kong back into the country, whether they like it or not. One China also holds anti-federalist views, and seeks to wind down the final Special Economic Zones, as well as ending autonomy for the western provinces.

One China has often been criticized for an inconsistent economic policy. The party has fairly protectionist trade policies, and would seek to end Chinese involvement in the Asian Pacific Partnership. However, the party has repudiated socialist economics, and sees markets as the path to continued prosperity. Despite this, One China's domestic economic policies fall between the Workers' and People's parties, maintaining most state industries while encouraging investment through reduced taxes and cuts to wasteful spending. Overall, the party tries to present itself as moderate and Third-Way, despite its draconian social policies that place it on the right end of the spectrum.

21st-century American dictators aren't a wholly original concept, but I don't think I've seen a Latino one before.

EDIT: Or a transgender one, for that matter.

And the million dollar question is this, what would you bet money on that the United States will have first, a Latino dictator, or a transgender president?

Donald Trump decides he wants to run independent from the GOP after the Republican leadership "gives him the snub" (he complained about this, I read it in the news earlier today); Sanders wins the 2016 nomination and picks a... rather unique VP, and the Bush/Carson power team kicks in... but alas, not enough. Trump manages to win two states; Arizona (more people were not offended by his insult to the favorite son McCain than not) and New Mexico. His Vice President got him some traction from younger groups who still like Chuck Norris jokes, but he couldn't win Texas from Bush.

Sanders wins significantly all over, even in typically red states; and in the South, aided by African-American voting, and moderate Republicans jumping over the line due to his perceived honesty.

Oh and, Trump's political party for the election made a bunch of nerds on AlternateHistory.com go crazy because they, strangely, have a problem with parties named... Freedom Party

Isn't Chuck Norris less Trump and more Huckabee? Also, it feels insane that he only got 1% of the vote and yet won two states. Especially when neither person on the ticket has any connection to either of those states.

Let's assume that AZ and NM were three-way splits. That would have given Trump about 1.86 million votes - roughly 450,000 more voters than he's listed as having. That's assuming that he ran nowhere else.
