Well, it sounds cool... but the picture isn't showing up on my computer - is anyone else having that problem?

EDIT: Once I'd quoted, I could access it via the quote. Therefore, problem solved. Nice picture, by the way.
Thanks.
I'm a much bigger fan of 'naval' space battles, like in BSG, rather than 'dogfight' space battles like in Star Wars.

Well capital ship battles in Star Wars are shown in a slow 'naval' style; a better example of capital ships fighting with fighter-like manoeuvrability would be the big battles in Star Trek.

Soviet palace, eh? Wouldn't the term "palace" kinda run counter to the Soviet antimonarchist ideology?
Wait, I'm having one of those things- a headache with pictures....an idea! Historically, leaders of revolutions have occasionally given themselves the title "Emperor" or at least been offered the title, right? What if the Supreme Soviet literally conferred upon Lenin the title Emperor of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics? Remember, republic is, like commonwealth, such an ambiguous term. Republics, or a union thereof, can easily also be technically monarchies, especially if it's an elective monarchy.

The Palace of the Soviets was a real plan, and that was the real name too... the plan was to tear down some major cathedral and build that on top of it... they tore down the cathedral and ran out of resources, so the rest wasn't built and then some time in the 90s the cathedral was rebuilt...

Nah, it's like the Great Hall of the People - keep the architecture, change the dedication.

Yep. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_the_Soviets

The cathedral was rebuilt by Boris Yeltsin, who has just lain in state there, and the Russian Orthodox Church is now carrying on as though the Soviet era never happened :D Quite life-affirming really.
