Successful Sealion

OK folks, I think this might just work. Bear with me until the end of this post, OK?

So, France falls per schedule. With UK unwilling to talk about peace Hitler decides to prepare for Fall Rot, invasion of British Isles. As Luftwaffe fails to win air superiority over England plans are shelved. However Churchill doesn't rest. He promises to "set Europe aflame". One of the means to achieve this are specially trained troops, called commandoes. Their first operation is "Operation Sealion" against Norwegian port of Vaagso, on 27.12.1941.

Plausiable? :D

Aaaaaaaaaggghhh!Another sealion thread! Kill it! Kill it! :D

What exactly is the plan for the commandos? Just torching all of europe or what?

Ah why do British commandos attack a port in Norway, when clearly ports along the French coastline are more important for the German war effort? Wouldn't Brest, Cherbourg & St Nazaire (which was hit in the famous OTL commando raid) be far better targets?

Norway was where some of the first commando raids took place in OTL, and Norway was thought by the Germans to be a possible target of an allied invasion. Several hundred thousand troops and a number of Germany's major capital ships where deployed to and operated out of Norway.

If you or someone doesn't mind, think up a possible summary of the operation, including what was destroyed and casualty reports.

To give them training. Better to start with easy target before you actually see what's working and what's not.
