Okay, so the link is in your sig? Alright - I've read the first page, and so far it looks great. Nice work, all in all.
Thanks. The first parts of it, with Hacker and etc, are more or less the basis for a graphic novel thing by me and my friends. The rest of it is the timeline part of it, but in order to understand the whole story, the Nuke/Hacker portion of the story had to be explained. As you can tell, some of the readers disagreed sharply with the whole concept of the Samuel Lloyd character.
And speaking of that TL, within the topic of AH uniforms and insignia...
An example of an ex-military trooper under the command of Hacker's Global Syndicate, bearing the green bandanna and badge of Hacker's forces. This particular soldier is wearing military camo and a set of Kevlar body armor, standard for Syndicate soldiers, and wields an M16A2 without the carrying handle, an oddity among Syndicate troops, who usually use high-quality German-built arms, such as MP5A3 submachine-guns or G3A3 rifles.
During the course of Hacker's three-year reign of terror, his Global Syndicate, a confederation of nearly all criminal organizations, was dominant force in geopolitics the world over. Although not officially a country, the broad network of gangs, mafias, and terrorist groups came to be a major influence on world governments, exacting millions of dollars in tribute from several sovereign states, and virtually controlling entire nations in some parts of the world. By 1995, the organization had even enticed some US Army generals into joining its side, no small part due to Hacker's personal capabilities as a fighter and as a businessman. Whole divisions soon became part of the Syndicate's private army, being sent across the world to enforce Hacker's wants and will on entire peoples. This variety in his ranks, however, led partially to his downfall, as some soldiers among his army, still loyal to the US government, organized one final mutiny and rebellion against Hacker's rule in December of 1995.
