Peshwar Lancers Redux: India

The British Government upon being informed that Hawaii was about to mount an armed recon-Intelligence Mission in South America offered to provide half of the 18 man force. They would be drawn from the Elite SAS. The Nine SAS personnel arrived in Hawaii and underwent some additional training with the Hawaiian Special Forces.
 
The Royal Air Force had 12 F-4K Phantom II aircraft deployed to the Falkland Islands. The Island had the nearest British-Hawaiian Military Force.
 
The British Imperial Government had strengthen the defenses in the Falklands and the C-130 was preparing to leave for Brazil as soon as word arrived that they had crossed the border( Anglo-Hawaiian Team). Satellite photos of Bolivia had shown that More advanced weapons had been deployed in that country. RAF Weapons experts identified several SAM (Surface to Air Missile) sites in the country. China was known to have purchased the weapons from Russia and thus it was believed that these were reversed engineered Missiles produced by Chinese factories.
 
Word that the Amazon Rangers had made contact with the Anglo-Hawaiian force and the combined force was en-route to a location in Brazil where they could receive additional treatment and then be airlifted to either the Falklands or to Jamaica. Intelligence was being shared with the Brazilian Military and its Intelligence service.
In Hawaii the Prime Minister was meeting with Director of the Hawaiian Intelligence Service. He was scheduled to meet with the Joint chiefs of staff and the British Ambassador. Latter he would call the British Prime Minister and they would discuss options. Britain was expected to talk to the Chinese about arm sales to Bolivia.
Hawaii was expected to have its Representative to Finland meet with the Russians while Britain briefed Austria and Germany.
 
The British Foreign Minister called the Chinese Ambassador and warned him that his Majesty's government was not pleased with arms sales to Bolivia . The Bolivians had used the arms to take control of Peru and it was actively involved in waging insurgencies against its neighbor. The Chinese Ambassador informed the British that they believed that the sale of arms was legal but he would inform his government of Britain position. Britain talked to the Ambassador from the Empire of the Rising Sun about the arms sales problem. The Ambassador promised to talk to his government about ways to help. The Imperial Government offered to provide space on a base on Hainan Island. The Imperial Navy would also be prepared to take action.
 
3 PC-3 Orions arrived on Hainan Island joining 3 P-2 Neptune aircraft of the Imperial Air Force. The six planes would monitor the sea traffic leaving the Chinese ports. The Empire of the Rising Sun had dispatched a Light carrier with a cruiser 3 destroyers and 2 frigates.
 
Britain's defenses of the Royal Crown Colony of Hong Kong had been strengthen a great deal over the years. There was a strong defensive line in the New territories' The Current Garrison consisted of the XIX Indian Army Brigade, XI British Brigade, King 's Own Hussars ( equipped with the Centurion equipped with a 105mm gun, Air defense Regiment, FA Regt. In addition there were the Royal Hong Kong Regiment consisting of 8 battalions of Infantry and 2 of artillery.
 
The Empire of the Rising Sun joined Hawaii and the British in Monitoring sea traffic coming out of China. It expressed a willingness to join the British and the Hawaiians in attempting to stop the flow of arms to a state that intelligence indicated that the Bolivians were supporting terrorism.
 
The British Frigate HMS Leander ordered a Chinese freighter to heave to and prepared to be bordered. The Chinese Captain protested that he was in international waters and the Royal Navy had no right to stop his ship or demand its inspection. He continued on where upon the British warship put a shot across its bow. A destroyer flying the flag of the Empire of the Rising Sun was in contact with the British Warship and prepared to render assistance.
 
The Chinese Freighter was searched and Surface to air Missiles,Rocket Propelled Grenades. Assault rifles were found among the cargo . The Ship was escorted to Formosa where the arms were unloaded. The Chinese government protested the action by the British and the Empire of the Rising sun. It informed the Rising Sun's deligation in Hong Kong that it considered this a violation of the cease fire. China would respond to this action.
 
The Empire of the Rising Sun put all of its forces in China on alert. Forces on Hainan Island went on war alert.
 
Sample of some of the captured Chinese weapons were allowed to be retained by the Empire of the Rising Sun but most of the weapons were loaded aboard a British Military transport and shipped to Australia for testing.
 
China showed its displeasure by applying economic pressure to Honk Kong. Supplies of food and other goods from China slowed down. China also moved Surface to air Missile batteries so that they would cover the Empire of the Rising Suns enclave in the south.
 
The Empire of the Rising Sun assured the British Government that it was prepared to sell food and other goods to the Royal Crown Colony of Hong Kong at fair market prices. The Empire was attempting to prove that it was a faithful ally to both Britain and Hawaii. It also deployed surface to surface Missiles on Hainan Island allowing it to hit targets up to 300 miles from the Island.The Chinese Delineation to the Armistice Commission was summoned by the Hawaiian Mediator to a meeting. Ambassador Tomaru notified the Chinese that their SAM batteries violated the airspace of the Imperial Government. Thus China was in violation of the agreement ending hostilities.
