Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Central Italy and Sweden and Entente Ottomans in the war, leading to some very interesting differences.
That's correct. This *World War I pitted the UK, Germany, Italy, Greece, Serbia, Romania and Portugal against France, Russia, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire. Sweden was neutral, however intervened in Finland when a civil war broke out.

Long live the peaceful and non-radical Greater German Realm and its cities and towns!

What pulled the Ottomans onto the same side as Russia, Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria, but against Germany and the U.K.?

It looks like Utah is a close match between the USA and FRA, I can't tell who won out in the plebiscite. If the USA won out, I can't help but feel like that small corridor to Utah would be an absolute nightmare logistically speaking.

I believe the blue color of the state indicates the winner of the plebiscite. Though, yes, if it had gone the other way, that would be annoying.
Yes, the FRA won in Utah by 38% to 36% for the USA. Maybe if the USA had won that little strip of land would have been called the Bee's Neck ;).

You have come back...The True Republic Part 10 please

Oooh, you betcha! ;)

The True Republic Part 10:
The year is now 1957, and the changes are quite dramatic.
A world of four major powers has just become far more complicated, after the collapse of one and the great reduction of another. Tens of millions of lives were lost over the course of a war lasting more than four years, excluding the previous Sino-Platonist conflict, with nuclear warheads going in several cities. Even costlier than the last great wars combined, this one shook up the world order once again. Platonism has been blamed greatly for this nuclear holocaust, though unlike fascism it is not a discredited ideology by any means. Even after the utter dismantling of the Republic, Platonic elements are at large in India, Turkestan, Siberia, Brazil and most of all Persia. The Persian variety has endorsed a strange form of nationalism to it as well, wanting to create a new Persian Empire that will take back the devastation done by its neighbours.
The least devastated area of the USA and its European allies is quickly recovering, though remembering the national tragedy. The West Coast though needs a lot of reconstruction, and a significant amount of workers are moving in from China, Japan and Russia, leading to a new ‘Yellow Scare’ coming on. The North Sea Pact has expanded into the European Confederation as new nations have joined post-war, and has occupied significant portions of territory in Russia to help end Platonist rebel activity. Several of their colonies are now undergoing the transition to independence, the most notable of these being Indonesia. The British, allies of the confederation throughout it, are now seriously considering joining it as the demands for decolonisation are growing greater by the day. The Polish power is currently great, but they are struggling to maintain such large territory, especially with Ukrainian rebellions present.
In the Pact of Rome, it is a pyrrhic victory. They have gained a vast array of puppets and allies, but have lost a large number of lives, including the loss of Rome itself. The Bulgarians liberated themselves and so are not members of the Pact, being a monarchy once again. Nevertheless, it is surrounded by socialist countries, and so the pressure on local communist groups is quite significant. Greece of course is purging itself more and more of Platonist influence, not wanting to ever undergo such conditions again. They retain nominal connections with the Amazonians or North Brazil as they are more commonly known, but they are building relations with the new People’s Republic of Dravidistan, a somewhat powerful new state emerging after the collapse of India (more similar to the collapse of the USSR in OTL). A highly militarised border has also been formed in West-Hungary to deal with the countries division.
The Platonic Republic has been more or less dismantled by the various factions, though their impact is still massive. Vast numbers of lives were lost on all sides, with the Balkans split between the forces of Capitalism and Communism, Central Asia under an Islamic Fundamentalist regime and a rump Russia trying to put up with constant Platonic remnants. At least they have managed to regain Outer Manchuria though. The new Russian Republic is desperately trying to rebuild despite all the chaos, and ultimately aims to become a global power in time. But who knows what will happen. Platonist rebel forces are still active in other parts of the world, even in Brazil after the use of nuclear weapons on the Platonist outpost (their capital had already been taken by this point), particularly in Southern Sudan, Northern India and such. Most crucially of all though is the run down nation of Persia, by a group known as ‘National Platonists’ who combine Platonism with intense Iranian nationalism and who want to exact revenge for the centuries of humiliation they underwent. Who knows how this will turn out?
The division of China has indeed been an interesting one. With backing from the United States, a nationalist government rose up in Southern China and has taken some of the most populated areas from the isolated Mohists, devastated by the warheads. The two have a sort of stalemate and thus have developed an armistice line, as the Mohists retreat further into isolationism than ever before. Much debate was done about the fate of Formosa and it has now been granted full independence from either China, becoming its own fully fledged nation. It is already forming an alliance with Indochina and sponsoring the Filipino independence movement, aiming for a united community in Asia, similar to the European Alliance.

Who knows how this world will progress, but Platonism is far from dead, that’s for sure. However, a new ideology is beginning to gain tract within certain countries… Technocracy…
