Man in the High Castle DBWI VA Day is coming

on September 18th, we celebrate Victory in America Day (that is, if you live in the Reich, like me). for those of you who were just born last week, VA Day is the day when our Fuhrer Adolf Hitler crushed the last resistance in the Americas and declared victory. I was just wondering what you guys were gonna do for the holiday? are you gonna visit family members? Stay at Home? i am simply curious. i will start the countdown of days. there are 8 days.

ooc: just got done re-watching Man in the High Castle again, and while watching it i realized that VA Day was on September 18th. I realized that i could easily started a thread on that day to "Celebrate" it, but i got impatient, and decided i didn't want to risk forgetting about it, so here we go:)

Here in Finland the Victory in Russia Day is a bigger deal - understandable, since we weren't even at war withe U.S. Guess I could watch the Germans parading for a while on television that evening, don't have anything else to do.

Final Solution? you do know that all the Reich did was transfer the Undesirables to Reservations in the Far East. not nearly as bad as what i've heard the Japanese did in Asia.

In my schools, we are taught that most Undesirables merely take up too much space and had to be moved so the Master Race could move in. But I was also taught that some were pure evil and seek to take over the world.

And i was taught that the Japanese did Terrible atrocities in East Asia and also did similar atrocities in America, which is why America is still divided.
And why are you curious about Undesirables? what is your opinion? after all, it can be dangerous to be open considering how heavily monitored we are.

I actually live in Mexico, where it is... safer and more open. My opinion is that "undesirables" weren't actually very evil, or at least not as bad as they are depicted in Germany.

Oh Yeah, Mexico is part of the Neutral Zone (OOC: FACT: this will most likely be retconned by season 2 of Man in the High Castle). Also, my Uncle will likely be coming back from Reichskommisariat Der Mars. He was granted a 2 month long visit their, and believe me, it costs alot of Reichsmarks just to spend a week their, and only Full blooded Aryans can live their permanently (unless you are a worker their).

My family moved to Mexico in the 1910s from a country they called "Russia".

What are "full-blooded Aryans" like?

My parents told me that their used to be a Massive country called Russia that was populated by Untermenschen. It was also Marxist and wanted to take over the world, but the National Socialists stopped them.

Aryans are relatively common, but a full blooded Aryan is quite a sight. Pale White skin, Golden Hair, Jewel Blue Eyes. but they are pretty rare where i live. they are more common in the Fatherland, in cities like Germania (OOC: ATL Berlin) and such, because in order to be a "Full Blooded Aryan" you have to be a complete Ethnic German, with German as the Mother language.

I have visited some sites and saw some article which said that Russians were not, in fact, "untermenschen", and even won many wars against their neighbors. The name of the author seemed rather Slavic, just like mine.

if your in a neutral zone, you will be fine as long as you don't live near the German zones Border, because the SS has been known to go a certain distance past the Border before they decide they have entered the Neutral zone.

No worries. I live at Mexico City, and as far as I know it is far from the German border. Also, it is guarded with very tall cyber-fortresses.
