Well, just picked up the first copy and it is interesting to say the least. Definitely a western, gunslinger feel to it with weird magic in the mix. Story so far aside there are some interesting polities.
1 Golden Mountain Empire: A Chinese monarchy built on the magical power of "Red Gold". Rules by a Queen who looks like she wants to dominate the surrounding area. Stretches up the coastline from what is presumed San Fran Bay to the Columbia River along the coast. The tube is the area around the Bat is a "Dead Zone" and the Golden City looks to be centered closer to Sacremento.
Republic of Los California's: Southern Cali, with a city located in what looks like to their map San Diego and as Far East as Arizona.
The Wild: Not really a polity but a free lands of sort with the people reffered as Freelanders. Everything east of the Sierra Mountains.
Murrieta Territory: No mention so far except the name on the map which is centered in Brit Columbia.
Indian City States: Not featured on the map but mentioned as a possible target by the Golden Empire.
