Here's an old flag I designed for a future unified humanity:

Flag of the Terra-Luna Socialist Republic

After a supervolcano eruption resulted great destruction, civil wars, and revolutions, humanity was spurred to work together and pool its resources to rebuild. The world became much more united, and over the next century, technology and an ideology of peace and cooperation allowed human civilization to fully recover, using sustainable agriculture, manufacturing, and city-planning to remake the world to be a better place than it was.

Eventually, increased communication and cooperation, and a disintegration of the language barrier with the introduction of Esperanto as an official international language, resulted in integration and mixing of human societies. After a time, a world state emerged out of the framework of the old World Council of Socialist States (essentially a UN with teeth and ideology).

When earth started to become overcrowded at around 10 billion humans, there was devised a program to settle the Solar System, starting with the Moon. There had already been some minor colonization for resources, but nothing major. This program involved terraforming using mass-fossil fuel burning, nanotechnology, and ice comet redirection combined with the introduction of certain genetically engineered plants and lichens to create a biosphere. Once the ice caps melted and comets delivered some water, seas began to form. Over about 100 years, the process was completed, and planned agricultural centres were built using robotic labour. The moon thence became an agricultural breadbasket for the earth, with a few nature preserves for tourism, some small cities, and the preservation of a few major Selenographical features.

This flag, flown by naval vessels and painted on space vessels, is the official ensign of the Terra-Luna Socialist Republic as of 2300 CE or PI 256 (Post Impact) It contains one red band, representing the labour and dedication of humanity, and one purple band, representing the creativity and ideology of humanity. The larger blue circle represents Terra, and the smaller one Luna. The white background represents the light of the sun, and peace.

To go with my earlier posted French Syndicate of the Common Man, we have the Japanese Conglomerate of the Common Man. Same ideology, same symbols (though the gladius and pitchfork are replaced by a katana and kama for the Japanese Omni-plebianist movement, as well as the fleur-de-lis being replaced by the mon of the Tokugawa Shogunate)

They are an omni-plebeianist state (think communism but with a barter system). In omni-plebeianism there three divisions for the skills of people in life; Labor (the pitchfork), Authority (the gladius), and Guidance (the Cross). The symbol used (sans the fleur-de-lis) is the symbol for European omni-plebeian states.

The fleur-de-lis shows the particular people of the nation to be the French. ITTL, after the ousting of the Bourbons by the even more oppressive House of Ivrea (who had joined the Kingdom of France as rulers of Burgundy by helping the Prince of France depose his father) the fleur-de-lis often became a simple of revolt and the French People.

The five pronged sun is the other common symbol of omni-plebeianism. "All are equal under the sun" and all that. The five rays represent the Five Wants of the Common Man: Liberté (Freedom for himself and kin), Unité (Unity with his Neighbor and People), Égalité (Equality between himself, his allies, and his enemy), Vérité (Truth in all things, so no Man is ignorant of the World), and Fierté (Pride in his Work, his Contribution, and his People)

I would think such an organization would want to use independent and universally celtic symbolism like the celtic cross et al. That would make it more neutral and would eliminate any appearance of favoritism and issues over the prominence of any one nation. Kind of the like the flag of NATO or the Warsaw Pact. If I were an alien and all I saw was the symbol of the WP, I would think it was an equal-partner alliance of independent states :D

I really love this flag. It could work for a lot of things actually, and I've always liked the light blue on red color scheme.

I kind of like this one, although it makes me think of an SSR flag. I love SSR flags, but they're a bit modern looking and not heraldic/stuffy enough for the time period.

I love this. The only thing I would change is to make the black band on the fly a bit wider.

Taking your critic into account, I made this:

Celtic Confederation:
This is the flag of an Economical and Military alliance between the Republic of Ireland, the Republic of Scotland, and the Republic of Wales called the Celtic Confederation. The flag officially created in the year 2023 after Wales joined, replacing the original flag.

Thanks, but the Huguenot cross is a little too specific for this flag to serve any more purposes... what were you thinking?

I kind of like this one, although it makes me think of an SSR flag. I love SSR flags, but they're a bit modern looking and not heraldic/stuffy enough for the time period.

This one was meant for a constitutional French monarchy or a less revolutionary French republic- the time of this flag would be anywhere after the 1940s. It's unrelated to the other two, so that's why it looks too modern.

I'll change it and see what it looks like- I was contemplating the same thing. But, I don't know if I'll be making the bar too "sparse", as the crosses will have to be the same size so that they could fit into the bands. But that worry might just be my OCD, haha :)

1:2 should be my friend on this one; but, alas, it is not. That use of space is not very efficient for a fascist state, eh? :p

But seriously, I just don't like that unused space to the sides of those crosses. Still, it was a nice thought.
