After 20 years of the Democrats holding the presidency, with an incumbent Democratic president who has the lowest approval rating since records began (even if he lost the nomination), Americans just vote the Democrats in again? By a landslide? Really?
Truman would be popular if there was no Korean War and Taft was basically Goldwater before Goldwater.

From my President Forever game. Played as Cuomo. Won a fairly easy primary race against Clinton, Tsongas, and Brown (though Clinton won most of the southern states). Was losing to Bush until the last week or so in the GE.
