  4. TL-191: Filling the Gaps

It's true MacArthur kept a lid on Houston (though I would argue Morrell had a huge hand in that), but his bad planning for the Virginia Campaign in 1942 would certainly wipe away his performance in the former. He was hauled before the Joint Committee on the Conduct of the War so his support in...
  5. TL-191: Filling the Gaps

I never understood why General MacArthur was never relieved in GWII. Even more stunning, he was given command of the U.S. army group that captured Richmond. I suppose he had decent support (either in the U.S. Congress or War Department), but the man was a walking disaster for his subordinates.

Confederate Soldiers marching in Richmond during a military parade in early August, 1914. Many of these men would be killed during the Army of Northern Virginia's failed campaign to take Philadelphia in late 1914/early 1915.

  8. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

Incredible! Simply an incredible chapter! The Union has won the war, but can it can it win the peace?

    Outstanding update as always!

U.S. troops with Army Group Midwest pushing through a village in northwest Georgia in November, 1943. Although the area saw unusually heavy rain for that time of year, it only marginally slowed General Morrell's advance towards Atlanta. Indeed, the city would fall in late December of that year...
  12. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

    Congratulations! That's awesome to hear!
  13. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

Soldiers of the U.S. 17th Infantry Division make their way through the ruins of Salt Lake City; circa January, 1943. With the third (and presumbably final) Mormon Rebellion crushed, the U.S. could shift some additional forces to quell the Candadian Uprising (though a good chunk would go to...
  14. How old could have Churchill become if he hadn't drunk and smoked so much?

Reminds me of the exchange between Churchill and Montgomery in the film "Into The Storm": Churchill: "Care for a cigar general?" Montgomery: "No sir. I neither smoke nor drink and I am at 100%" Churchill: "Ah, welll I smoke and I drink and I am at 200%"
  15. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

U.S. troops of the 115th Infantry Regiment retreat from Columbus, Ohio following the city's capture by the Confederate Army in the Fall of 1941. Although men like the 115th fought bravely and doggedly, they were often outmatched by the more modern equipement and tactics of the Confederates. It...

Troops of the U.S. 11th Army advance towards Lubbock during the Western Texas Campaign; circa March, 1943. At the direct command of Major General Abner Dowling, the soldiers of the 11th Army went through rigorous and comprehensive training prior to the opening of the offensive. This effort was...
  17. Photos from Featherston's Confederacy/ TL-191

German soldiers guarding Allied POW's in Covin, Belgium; circa April, 1944. This would mark the furthest west the Germany Army would advance during the war. Although plans were made to invade Northern France, these were put on hold once the decision was made to superbomb Paris. Even so, the...
  18. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

An incredible and compelling chapter! The Confederacy is set to tear itself apart, and do the work of Union armies.
  19. Until Every Drop of Blood Is Paid: A More Radical American Civil War

An excellent installment as always. It looks like the Confederacy has shot off its only remaning toe by deposing Breckendridge. Whatever legitimacy the CSA had is now gone.
