  1. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

Who's closer to Berlin? The Western Allies or the Soviets?
  2. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

They assigned the M3 designation depending on what type of vehicle or weapon it was. So you got the M3 Stuart light tank, the M3 Grant medium tank, the M3 scout car, the M3 halftrack, the M3 Grease Gun...
  3. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

The North African campaign ending early will have a lot of effects on the European theatre, that is for certain. At least the Italian commander made the right call and decided not to fight to the last man for what was essentially a nonsensical last stand.
  4. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

    Is this TL still ongoing?
  5. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

A likely butterfly in the event of the North African campaign ending earlier is that the Tiger won't be encountered earlier. That will be interesting.
  6. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

    Isn't the P40 still riveted?
  7. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

I wonder if the Allies will try to storm Berlin or force it to surrender.
  8. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

For comparison's sake, how are the Soviets doing? If the Western Allies manage to break into the Ruhr and into Germany by the end of the year, that is going to be a launching pad for the Allies to start planning to storm Germany, I would think. The OTL crossing at Remagen really accelerated it...
  9. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

At least the Brits have a lot of newly minted M13/40 wrecks they can examine, it seems. But yeah, Italian tanks don't really have a good reputation for a good reason.
  10. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

And the more proper usage of paratrooper forces as well. TTL's paras were actually used as holding points and it was better coordinated with the ground advance as well.
  11. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

I wonder how the Brits will view the Italian tanks in comparison to their own ones.
  12. Keynes' Cruisers Volume 2

And Arnhem ends not in disaster, but in victory.
  13. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Can someone put a fork in the Italians? They are done by the looks of it.
  14. Sir John Valentine Carden Survives. Part 2.

Are these the tropical Mark II versions? I know this is a diversion from the tankcentric nature of this TL, but it would be interesting if these were the 12 x .303 variant or the 4 x 20mm cannon variant.
  15. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

It seems that TTL's Battleaxe has been a success and that the Brits managed to recover a good majority of their tanks. While the DAK didn't get the chance to recover any of them. Wonder what's going to happen to those vehicles now.
  16. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

And half of them are Pz Is and IIs, presumably. Also I think he lost the 88s and the PzJ Is too.
  17. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Yeah, true. The big question now is now since the Mk. 1* variant of the Valiant is now showing its oddities, I wonder when the Mk. 2 and the Victor will come into play.
  18. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

So the expectation is that the invasion will go as OTL, then?
  19. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

The Valiants would at least be better than the T-26's and the BT-7's, that's for sure. Not sure about the specific details, but those latter two tanks were... not good.
  20. Sir John Valentine Carden survives.

Barbarossa will be a big cluster anyhow, but it would be interesting how the 'earlier' improved German tanks do against the Soviets.
