I agree, the guy is doing something interesting and isn't just making small changes to a Worlda
  2. AHC: 19th century assault rifles?

I wouldn't imagine that they would be adopted wholesale by armies. They would be particularly valuable in the case of small groups who may need to fight overwhelming numbers. I could see them being used by the Indian Political Service in the Northwest Frontier. Also, wealthy boers or...
  3. Islamic Vikings - How ASB?

I think the only way this could work is if the Varangians went muslim instead of Orthodox, which is not ASB.

I like the premise, but your Antipodean states are quite off. One of them, the southerly one in western Australia, would have a population of a few thousand. Its just the Nullarbor, which literally means 'No Trees'. In contrast, the big state in the south east would have almost three quarters...
  7. No Israel or what happens to Jewish people in Arab land

I agree with you on most of this, except I think it should be mentioned that Mizrahi jews are treated like second class citizens in Israel and didn't receive the same benefits as Ashkenazi settlers.

Just one thing, Australia has always been fully self-sufficient in food. We are dry, but even the driest parts are good cattle or sheep country. Also the Murray-Darling Basin is heavily irrigated and has been for decades. Australia's real problem would be industrial. We would need to find...

The British have taken the Yukon, which is geographically quite separate from the coastal areas left to the russians, and all areas north. It is actually quite realistic, if somewhat anachronistic in that interest in the Yukon valley didn't flourish until the gold rush.
  11. Would a systematic African American genocide have ever been plausible?

I think this has been mentioned, but the low cost labor provided by African Americans was essential to the American economy, particularly in the south. If someone comes up with a plan to murder them all, the southern bourgeoisie is not going to stand for it. They need that labor to maintain...

On Australia, It isn't really an issue. Nations made pointless, unenforceable claims all the time. In your map it looks like they settled around perth, which has a climate suitable for wheat growing. Also, some parts of the North would be useful to grow cattle for export to Asian colonies.

It all depends on the culture that settled in the early medieval period - I believe hundred was a Wessex'ian' measure and Wapentake was a norse one.

Okay, so why would America take a densely populated part of Mexico to resettle mexican migrants? Why not just send them back to Mexico, without annexing the northern quarter? That would seem easier. Also, what mexican government would accept this?

I am also looking for it. After extensive searching I believe that it has been deleted.
  20. A Blank Map Thread

Except that it is a drastically unimproved BAM. There are much better ww2 maps in the QBAM format.
