  1. Large Collection of HQ Civil War Images

People, places, etc. Useful for TL's and all. Very high quality and plenty of them. http://www.mikelynaugh.com/VirtualCivilWar/New/Originals2/index.html
  2. World War III in May 1946

    J. Edgar is going to throw a fit when he hears of military men masquerading as civilians doing domestic counter-intelligence.
  3. World War III in May 1946

Now that part I don't get, Stalin had allies to appease right after WWII and that didn't stop him cracking down on Eastern Europe. Now he's playing for keeps with no allies and he's acting nice, I don't think so. At the very least non-communists leaders will be killed, communist leaders who...
  4. WI: American Auto Wank?

You also have to fix the union situiation. From here: And that doesn't count parts which Toyota outsources to overseas non-union firms while Detroit outsources much to heavily unionized Canada. A high protective tarriff might protect the domestic market but foreign markets would be...
  5. World War III in May 1946

Just curious, how did you figure out that that amount of firepower would cause that amount of casualities? The US has done large scale bombardment before but I don't think with more then 3-4 battleships and the Japanese were usually in fortified positions on mountainous terrain. In any...
  6. Rise of Axum: A Timeline

So are you going to keep at it?
  7. Greece Holds: A Tale of a 3-Way Cold War

Two questions: what is this M24 Lincoln? And where did that massive Soviet amphibious ability come from?
  8. World War III in May 1946

One small nitpick, I don't think 5 divisions are enough to take on Sweden. I believe they had something like 400,000 men trained and ready to be mobilized within a few weeks during WWII. That was one of the reasons the Germans never attacked. That said, they wern't very mechanized.
  9. The Foresight War ebook

I did, he said I should be able to buy it from that British book store. So we'll see.
  10. The Foresight War ebook

Anyone know where online I can purchase it? Hopefully somewhere that takes dollars and not pounds.
  11. The African Superpowers (a TL)

The AFL-CIO is organized, SEIU is organized but the average American union isn't. When they call a strike there is always a significant percent that ignores it. Next is precedent; correct me if I'm wrong but I can't remember a time in modern memory where one union has gone on strike on behalf...
  12. The African Superpowers (a TL)

Nice update but there are two problems: First is with the ATC strike. Without some rather massive changes, US unions were not set up for a national strike nor were they inclined to since the strike was a clear violation of federal law (and making it legal would have meant a renegotiation of...
  13. Latest Possible Catholic/Orthodox Reunification

It’s a hard question to answer. When you try to predict when something will happen, it’s necessary to have some indicators that progress is moving toward the event. Technically I would say never, there is a future chance for full communion like what the Traditional Anglican Communion is trying...
  14. Effects of a Continental "English" language?

I don't think it's possible. English in pretty much all of its forms was developed soley in Britian. There were Angles and Saxons left behind in Germany but the 'Anglo-Saxon' was created in England. The language of those left behind turned into Modern German/Dutch. Even if you can get...
  15. Reconquista continues to North Africa

You would need to avoid the Italian Wars also. Perhaps offer Jews and Muslims land in Africa in exchange for their support.
  16. Dog Days: A Crusader Timeline

Full communion with Rome in exchange for liberation?
  17. Dog Days: A Crusader Timeline

So what do you think the response of the Coptic Church will be? Copts might still be up to 30% of Egypts population, and historically they were cracked down on during the crusades so I'm sure plenty are escaping to Christian areas.
  18. Isolationist Imperial Federation?

Well from little I know the idea was pretty much dead by WWI anyway. The problem was trade, at the time it would have still been cheaper to produce manfactured goods and sell them to the dominions then to produce them at home. While of course it would have been a boon to collective...
  19. United States of the Americas and Oceania

Nice update, I can see Russia trying to dump Alaska right after the war cause they're going to be dead broke.
  20. Dog Days: A Crusader Timeline

I don't think Rome would allow for there to be another Patriarch. The Great Schism had already occurred and the Pope would probably only appoint another bishop. The Latin countries and Byzantium might also want to finish off the Seljuk Turks. It would shorten up their defenses considerably...
